Thanks for a point but still you should hope that your defenders and keeper come back for pur CL clash because our defence is not a joke like pool.

Wellcome to EPL, Arshavin you belong here.

Speaking of Euro2008 stars in the EPL... how has Modric been doing for Tottenham? I know he started poorly and some EPL managers said (before his arrival) that he wasn't fit for the EPL.

hey could someone tell me the system for reserve teams in England? I mean can they somehow enter the domestic competition (League One, League Two), or do they have a designated championship? I'm curious cause here the likes of Steaua II or Rapid II start from the bottom league and can go as far as Liga 2.

They have distinguished league system(Reserve league). Teams league placement follow first team's league(So A team relegated to Championship and their reserve team should play on reserve championship).
In Spain, Germany or other leagues, their reserves are put in lower divisions and they cannot meet with first team on league.

Well in summer transfer time I didn't thought that Arshavin will be transferred to Arsenal because few days before transfer market is closing, one of news said that he will stay on Zenit.

So we haven't got a Spurs thread, but this thread comes closest to it.
Modric has been brilliant for Spurs, when we played Spurs, he absolutely outshone our midfield and scored the winning goal as well. 1-0 on that day.
He's been inconsistent, but when he plays well, Spurs usually get a win at least.

Modirc's been Great when he has played to his full potential. He just needs to be a little more consistent I think. If that happends he will become a BIG name.

Why is it a shame to see players like that At Benfica...any football fan can see that they are no run of the mill club...in fact they are the biggest club (in terms of registered fans and members) in the world...ahead of Barca, Real, Man Utd...and you can 100% o fthe fans are real fans not gloryhunters from other countries which makes that feat all more important

Have more respect with other clubs, especially when they are bigger than most clubs (minus Manchester and Liverpool, prob even Manchester in terms of pedigree)

Anyways for the record I cant stand those Lisbon bastards lol

Sorry to say this in the Arsenal Thread, but i cant just shut up when someone says this sort of things related to Benfica. Everyone knows that Benfica in the last years is facing a big problem, we "were" in pair with Porto the top of Portugal and Europe, but like i said, in the past years it all changed and Porto is now alone representing what is good in Portugal teams. Sporting has surpassed us, and that's really bad, we are trying everything to come back with the strenght of the past. In the next season, probably, Quique Flores will remain as manager, what is good, because in the past years, Benfica didn't have a manager for 2 consecutive seasons, we are changing, we're trying to create stability. We have great young and formed players, that only need motivation and confidence. That's all we need (players and supporters), confidence in our game, in our team, and we have to give everything we have to support every single member of Benfica ( that's difficult because of the last poor years, but is the essential for the progress of the team ), they need support and stability.

Reyes and Aimar are happy to be here, they received great support from everyone, and for the people that says that is a shame seing this players in Benfica, they dont know who we are for sure. If we create stability they will give more to the team, that's for sure, and in the future "we will give 5-0 to Liverpool in the Champions League". So for the people who are worried about Reyes, dont worry he's fine and progressing really well.

Portugal had 2 teams in last 16 of Champions League more than France and Germany. Porto really did great especially against united. I think Benfica is a great team with great History.

by the way, which arsneal players are injured at the moment except RVP?

Ok im sorry for that, but i what i meant is that those players are not shining, what i tried to say is that it´s a shame to see them not playing good football, i didn´t say Benfica was a small team...
