I hope Almunia will not recover so fast and Fabiański gets another chance in CL. He was very solid in both Villarreal matches. He proved that he can be no1 for years.

How did Fabianski cost Arsenal the match? He nearly put us ahead, no doubt that that was a HUGE blunder, but do you really think something like that would happen again? He had a decent match in which he barely had anything to do and unfortunately conceded two goals, none of which were his fault. Cech, Casillas, Buffon, they've all had major blunders, which actually cost their teams, let's not bury him so soon.

Yeah, because your opinion about a GK playing at the top level in one of the biggest clubs in the world will change anything.

The guy was nervous, it was his 24th birthday and he's still establishing himself in the side, considering Almunia already being 30.

oh really, that really can make a player nervous. And Drogba is a player who capitalizes a single GK error look at Reina, Buffon and now this guy.

He did two huge mistakes at the start and could behave better with the first goal. But with the second goal he could only scratch his balls. The one to blame is Silvestre who let Drogba run with the ball.

To be fair I think injury problems costed arsenal alot this session. They normally play without 5 or 6 key players.

****'s sakes, Fabianski didn't cost his team, Silvestre did, if anyone. You do realise that players make mistakes each game and never cost their team? That's what happened here, shut up about it.

Fabianski did cost Arsenal yesterday (aged 24) but don't forget so did Almunia in 2006 Champions League Final (aged 28).
Anyway the important thing is that we win the Champions League because I can't stand seeing the team go trophyless ....again.

Is that fair? Almunia was tossed into a game he wasn't mentally ready for, he was 2nd choice keeper back then, quite like Fabianski is now. If anything, Lehman cost you the CL back then.

I still fail to see how Fabianski could've done anything in either goal. Other keepers might've stopped them, but the same could be said about pretty much any goal. All Fabianski's error did was rattle him, which wound up having no effect on the end-result.

I don't even like Fabianski, but he's being condemned way too harshly.

hey could someone tell me the system for reserve teams in England? I mean can they somehow enter the domestic competition (League One, League Two), or do they have a designated championship? I'm curious cause here the likes of Steaua II or Rapid II start from the bottom league and can go as far as Liga 2.
