Well, it's not like we've been successful against them in the past couple of years...

And no, apart from the fact that if Porto doesn't win the Champions League I want Arsenal to win it, I obviously don't have any kind of issues in trashing their arses (H)

True but the past encounters were on the group stages and stakes weren't this high...I'm sure we'll handle them well enough and get through to the next round.

It'll be extremely hard to hold them at the Emirates but if we manage to get a good home advantage it's a matter of playing a balanced match in England.
I'm pretty sure Wenger will play for the 0-0 yet again at the Dragão, putting all of his faith on the second leg, and that will cost him dearly. And I'm all for it (H)

No.

It happened in Scotland, actually. Queen of the South and Gretna both did it. They lost the Scottish Cup final but both times the winning finalist had qualified to the CL (Rangers for QotS, Hearts for Gretna) so the loser went to the UEFA Cup. The next year they played in the Scottish First Division, The Scottish Cup, The Scottish League Cup, and the Scottish Challenge Cup.

Dunfermline did it too, but they did it a different way. They got to the final of the Scottish Cup and were beaten by Celtic, who qualified for the CL so Dunfermline went to the UEFA Cup. Dunfermline got relegated that season, so they were in the First Division while playing in Europe. I think some team from Iceland beat them.

man, your info rocks.

Watched the second half against Villa, and once again, you didn't disappoint.

I love watching you guys play, due to your beautiful style, mainly brought by Cesc's brilliance. He came on for 25 minutes, clicked with Arshavin and Eduardo immediately, showed a blink of brilliance in his free kick, scored another from a breakaway, and got back to the bench. He turned the whole game around with his presence, it just seems like the chemistry multiplied by 5 when he came in.

I'm really rooting for you in the EPL, you play the most entertaining football in the league, and for once, it seems to be working. Hopefully, if you can avoid major injuries, you'll take the title for a change.

Sadly, we've had one. We'd be top if we had van Persie.

If they don't win the title it's a better posibility for Cesc to come in bacelona ;)

With as much young great talent they have, I actually thought they would replicate 'the Invincibles'. They need to bring in Igor Aiknfeev. He is a promising young keeper that can fit right in the Arsenal system.

We certainly look to be back in the title race now. I've gotta say I thought we were pretty much done with our title race after our loss to Chelsea, but the squad has done a pretty remarkable job since then. Diaby has been fantastic at times and Ramsey is starting to develop nicely.
If you look at our fixture list we play something like Villa, United, Chelsea, and Liverpool consecutively in the league around early February. Obviously if we can come out of that stretch with a few wins we may be in a very nice position come later in the season when it really matters.

Ok,I'll now post a pretty big reply coz im a big fan of arsenal too...so,Arsenal plays beautiful soccer and he is full of young talented players, but the main problem in this season were injuries, now, when we are quite full we can go for all trophies(Y) As you know,Eduardo was a really great striker before his injury...that bad injury maybe reflected a little bit his future health position, but he isn't worse now,in fact, with several games in series he will become better than before! The problem is that Wenger doesn't trust him now,and Eduardo thinks that the only way to get back the form is to play games. He prooved that in last two games;he started in first team and scored..Eduardo can be a great striker, greater than Raul and Drgoba, but he needs a chance,he needs a challenge !Do you remember games before celtic when Van Persie was healthy and Eduardo was a pure striker along with him.Than Dudu scored almost every match, and he was on a good way to go back to the form he had before. He started sitting on the bench right after the match against Celtic,ok so he maybe act a little bit on that penalty coz obviously there was a contact, but everyone made a big mess with it and Eduardo lost his confidence than...How many times you saw Rooney and Gerrard dived but nobody even talked about it...shame on that people who made such a big mess about it,coz Dudu didn't really get 90 minutes after it...I say that he will get back his confidence after a 5-6 games in series....For example he scored 2 goals and made 2 assists in 4 last games.Guess why?Because he started in first team! :bouncy:
