Picture of the day, don't want it to happen but not that concerned...for now
Now on to the more serious issue...Emmanuel Adebayor.
Good player but he has the same problem C.Ronaldo had last season, both wanted to leave during the summer but could not so were unenthusiastic about playing for their teams. Difference is Ronaldo picked himself up and started to show some commitment to United, Ade did not. Granted he was injured for a part of the season, there were only a couple games he seemed to be hungry in (Villareal 1st leg & City @ the Emirates). The rest of the season he was always offside (he had the most offsides in the UCL). Another difference is Ade always wanted to leave because of money in contrast to Ronaldo (in 2007-2008 Milan were not playing in the UCL and next season City will not be present in even the Europa League) that's one reason he isn't moving to Milan (they can't/won't pay his wages).
Despite all the attacks on Bendtner I believe he did show 200% more heart than Ade and it will pay off.
On the topic of a replacement, Chamakh looks the most likely but I will prefer Huntelaar, Džeko or Trezeguet.
I believe we can appear as way more attractive that Stuttgart or Spurs for Huntelaar. Trezeguet on the other hand could be a good mentor for Bendtner (unlike Ade who he did not get along with to say the least). And mind you Chamakh is from Morocco and there will be African Championships next year during which we will play Everton,Villa,United,Chelsea & Liverpool (in that order, I think).

it seems like you'll end up with Chamakh or Hoarau to replace Adebayor, I'd personally opt for the second one. and get a defensive midfielder ffs.

Your sig :). I'm not sure who the preferable DM could be. As I said Chamakh will be away for the most important games. Have not heard about us going for Hoarau yet I think he will be better than Chamakh, who had 14 goals last season (and they called it an improvement *shudders*). Still my preferred choice will be Huntelaar or even Babel. Those two could be typical Arsenal success stories: Youngster with great promise fails to make the grade at big club side due to failure to settle in or lack of opportunities, moves to Arsenal and becomes club legend (i.e. the Theirry Henry/Dennis Bergkamp story). Both are Dutch and I sure a Huntelaar & RVP partnership sounds pretty awesome.

Bordeaux rejected first offer for Chamakh(7m)
They said that they wanted Silvestre + 7m for him.

Well I'd think this would be fine. Wenger should do this but Sunderland is also interested in him.

I think that Huntellar maybe a good decision for you guys. Oh, Stuttgart and Madrid both agreed on Huntellar but Stuttgart is is currently having a trouble on getting him because Stuttgart made his salary reduced almost half of current salary receiving in Madrid. Who will be the winner? :P

Mad rid have confirm that we have not submitted any bid for Huntelaar, latest rumour says we are going for Demba Ba. Sounds okay to me since he won't be in the 2010 Nations Cup should cost about €10m leaving some of the Arab money for a DM.

...We've gotten Arab Money

Dear Emmanuel,
thank you for the three and a half years you spent with us
We wish you the best of luck in your future invest... endeavours.
Hopefully we will watch you in the 2011 Europa League or heaven forbid it the Coca Cola Championship. Have fun in Dubai...erm Manchester City(H)

Btw City have a nice website (Y)

Another transfer window, another one of our best players sold. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say we won't get a proper replacement :browsmiley:. We either get a proper replacement or we have two more seasons under Wenger with no trophies (I say two seasons because that's when his contract's up). A proper replacement doesn't have to be a big name, but if we go out and get Chamakh he's gonna have to really step up his goal scoring rate.

I feel we've gotten an excellent deal here. Emmanuel Adebayor's quality had been dropping, he became more of a setback than an advantage. With this money we can get either Chamakh or Demba Ba (my preferred signing).
Also Gunnersgoal22 goals are not a problem for this team, we have premium attacking talent (Nasri,Eduardo,Arshavin,Rosicky & RVP plus if they step up add Vela,Wilshere,Walcott and Bendtner to that list).
Anyway first preseason game was quite dissapointing, 2-2 in our traditional opener at Barnet. Goals from Arshavin & Barazite, Jay Emmanuel Thomas was quite impressive for me. Vermaelen looked good for his debut and we played in the new away for the first time. Also...

He's BACK!!!!

get Demba Ba guys, way better than Chamakh, he'll make you forget about Adebayor. good that you sold him, he had become a liability after the 07/08 season. his finishing was always horrendous, but that together with the lack of motivation and his antics really turned him into a dispensable player. there's a lot to do with £25mil.

Wenger should add more balance to this arsenal team. I think Arshavin will be your man next year.

Arsenal 5-1 up against SC Columbia
Bendtner 2 goals + Ramsey & RVP.
I see some some bald headed pr*ck who could be Cygan's nephew playing DM probably Senderos (H)

WTF Nasri, massive loss!!! Have they confirmed how long he's gonna be out? All i heard was broken leg...

2-3 months but that is only for the led to heal it will probably be an extra month before he kicks a ball, I'm sure it was Eboué who injured him:swear2:. I just hope this injury won't be like Rosicky's because that will destroy his career and he's only 22. At least Vela's injury is not anything serious so he will play for Mexico next week and hopefully Wenger will play him more so he can this again.

Today game was, a interesting 7-1 win, Ramsey,Bendtner & RVP 2 goals each. Pascal Cygan's nephew Senderos did well in the DM position. I might post some highlights of the game when good videos are available (we played in the away kit again).
