i believe india will win easy... still no sehwag and sachin and yuvrag is ill... but still india have double the class of zimbabwe, vermulean out for the tour with his fractured skull ...

Ganguly is so easy to bowl to.

Just bowl short at the body or near it and you'll get him. It has happened 2 times against zimbabwe and Williams invented it.

Dravid and Laxman had a great partnership of over 100 before Dravid went out for 56. Laxman has carried on and has another century. His 4th and he is batting amazing. All of the sudden india looking like they will get about 260.

Another Laxman century, in four innings his average has jumped from 29 or so to 33.5. At a run a ball too. Gavaskar looks handy. The only thing I am worried about is that India have not played the full side together for a while, and by the finals, Australia will have the upper hand. I suppose seeing Australia win would supplement for a pooey match. Yet, a guy like Tendulkar can turn it on whenever he likes.

Ganguly is better than that. He was in attacking mood today. His shot was in frustration, it was not near his body and the shot was not on. The Williams ball was a cracker, like his 5th wicket against Zimbabwe. Ganguly has been one of the best one day batters this decade. He averages over forty and with a great strike rate. He was rated no. 1 in world a few years back.

The Aussie media have been too hard on Ganguly. They are very quick to criticise his sloppy fielding and running between the wickets, but fail to talk up his captaining acumen. India tied a test series and retain the Border-Gavaskar trophy, against the best side in the world, with crappy bowlers or not. Remember besides the game in Sydney, India did it without Tendulkar firing. The team had fire in the belly and lifted their game to beat the Aussies.

Sure he may not be a model leader on the field, but he has done something right, and this new young side he has got together, along with John Wright are going places. You cannot discount his off the field performance, with regard to state of mind of the team.

7 balls left in the innings. Jeez he is in good form batting awesome at the moment. He has all the shots in the book and his placement and timing have been spot on in this series. Zimbabwe are going to have to be chasing around 280. Pitch is very good though.

A very good recovery from 3/4....Such a good batting lineup they have. I cant see Zimbabwe getting this score. As mutt said no real class in there batting lineup. Someone has to score a 100 for them to win this and they actually have to go fast which they struggle to do most innings.

India win by 3 runs after magnificient centuries from Stuart Carlisle and Sean Ervine.

Cant believe Zimbabwe managed to lose from the position they were in. They were only about 15 runs difference from the runs needed and the balls left with 7 wickets in hand. Needing 9 runs off the last over Streak missed 2 balls. I dont think there going to get another chance to win a match like that. Good performance none the less by Zimbabwe.

you cant really blame heath streak because he's been theyre only shining light for the series but its a bit disappointing when they needed him most he couldnt deliver. but overall an encouraging performance

One of the costly things was the run out that ended the partnership between Carlisle and Ervine. Ervine is a very good hitter and could have smashed them towards the end. Streak bowled well so.....Dont think you can blame it on him but they definitely should have won considering the position they were in.

martyn's opening against zimbabwe..... i HOPE he can regain form in this game.... if he does, australia will have a MUCH deeper batting lineup

the pressure's been on him for quite a while now. but not many people know that he averaged just over 42 in the test series against india. this in my opinion should be his last chance.
