Pretty much all ESPN programming is shit except for the actual sporting events, and even those aren't of the best quality sometimes.

First take is a joke. Sometimes I watch it for entertainment. For basketball the Zach Lowe podcast is great.

HQ with Shifty LeBatard is great. Aside from those and the occasional 30 for 30 or SportsCenter every fortnight I stay away from ESPN..

I don't know a single person that watches First Take. I don't know a single person who doesn't hate the show and consider it the worst thing on television.

They're like really shitty wrestlers who try to say outrageous things to gain ratings. I think a real journalist would get offended if he was brought up along those two names.

They've actually both descended into self parodies, last week I saw a headline which had Bayless saying something liek Kobe;s rape case is the reason he sells shoes now. So that gives you an idea of what goes on with that show.

Unfortunately that's supposedly the flagship talkshow program on the network, so ones that are actually good like LeBatard's and Around the Horn get ignored.


Does anyone here watch the Grantland NBA previews?

Love grantland. Watched their first episode of their new espn show on youtube yesterday.

I really liked Rose when I first got into his show but he gets a bit boring after a while. Same act. I think I've said it before, but Zach Lowe is my favorite analyst.
