The best/worst football motion picture ever?

How could I forget Fever Pitch? :(

The emotions Paul Ashworth experiences are captured brilliantly. The Michael Thomas league winner scene... perfection.

Of course, if I was a Spurs fan I'd detest it too. :$

yeap yeap.

Fever Pitch but it didn't show actors playing footy it was based on real footy...
anyway Mean Machine for me ... and i also thought "Mike Bassett England Manager" was pretty funny.

hopefully upcoming "Goal" will be more realistic than most.

Bend it like Beckham was pretty good :mrpimp:

stupid title but Beckham even wasn't in that movie, only his dubler I guess and only at moment

Football Factory was nice but it isn't football movie but just hooligans movie

Escape to Victory - nice, Deyna played (H)

Piłkarski Poker [Football Poker] - polish movie about dark sides of football

Shaolin Soccer - awesome (H) :crazyboy:

hmm... not too many footie movies on the block

It was great because it was based on real football. Usually those films that has actors playing football are pretty unrealistic, mostly because when someone starts dribbling the defender runs away instead of tackling him.

Anyway, Fever Pitch was the best for me, Mean Machine being a close second.

couldn't agree more. It just looks silly when you have this actor poncing about round defenders that pretend to miss their tackles.

What was the name of the movie with the dark-haired guy from Men Behaving Badly? It was about Euro 96, that was fun.

The idea of football movies is stupid to me. However, Mean Machine was good.

i knew it was unrealistic. this is because european country does not understand chow's version humors. director and main actor steven chow was the best comedy star in hong kong a long long time ago. lots of history about him and for me, shaolin soccer just one of his comedy but implement soccer into it

I watched with my Thai friend and he didn't like it that much. Sure, we both had a laugh but at the end of the day it's not as good as England Manager. Mean Machine is a movie I'll probably rent soon, I hope it's better than Airbud 3: World Pup ;)

What do you think about the idea of a gay football side? Fun in the showers?

Was there a movie made about "the game of death" or was that just my imagination? Do you know what I'm talking about? A soviet myth something...
