The problem is more that other teams park the bus. When someone tries to play against a Pep team you see greatness, like that 5-0 win over Madrid a few years ago.

You had to mentioned that game, didn't you?

Unfortnuately, there are 2 Bundesliga games before the first leg.

Fili's right though, it's remarkable what Pep has done with this rag-tag group of underdogs.

Any chance those two games get postponed by bad weather?

Maybe, but there's also an element of "let's really take it to them today" in that. Sure if the other team park the bus it's harder, but to some extent that's what I mean: when that happens, sometimes they have a tendency to exaggerate the horizontal-passes-around-the-box build-up, which gets annoying. Of course when you support Pep's team you couldn't care less, and to some extent I did at Barça, so now I'm more biased towards saying they he be boring.

The one thing about Bayern is that we will at least attempt crosses into the box, which Barcelona never could do. The second half saw several high balls into the area looking for Mandzukic and the breakthrough eventually came from a cross. So it's not just that boring possession 25 yards out all the time, we'll actually attempt some direct football as a plan B.

Actually when it got to the 80th minute without a goal today I was thinking "why isn't Martinez going up like Pique used to!?"

Englishe Woche in the Bundesliga. Bayern will almost assuredly wrap up the title today. Even if they fail to win today, Schalke and Dortmund play each other, so a draw between them will seal the title even with a Bayern loss. A Schalke win would require only a Bayern draw for the title. A Dortmund win would require Bayern to win in order to seal the title today.

E:

Stickers in Dortmund with "Death to S04" on them found to have razor blades on the back when removed by police. Nasty.

Now THAT'S a rivalry

Said this before, but Bayern could be in trouble today. Starke in goal, van Buyten in defense. Against the second best attack in Germany.

Pizarro is still really good. So glad he's cool with playing this role at Bayern.

E: Right on cue. I don't think he could play for a Champions League team, but he could be an every day striker for any mid-table club in Europe.
