Let's Talk Juve:

The only Serie A games I've watched this season have mostly been Juve's, I've sorta disliked them but I like a lot of the signings they made this summer (Vidal and Elia). Anyhoo, Marchisio has had the most amazing transformation I've seen this season...I always thought he was decent and had great potential but this season he's actually delivering something I never really believed he would do. Amazing player!

Oh and tits.
Simone Pepe has done well, hasn't he? Gives his all. I'd take a player like that over Arshavin anyday of the week.

Whats up with Krasic? Arshavin v.2?

Yeah, Marchisio looks a different player now.

Looks like Conte is a top class choice. Passion and attitude makes such a huge difference.

very interesting Champions League draw for Italy:

- Inter have it easy, and should win the group comfortably if they are to be considered serious contenders; I am glad that Gasperini's being eased into his first excursion to the big boy competition ...

- Milan will qualify, but in 2nd ... ironically the best team to emulate would be Inter from 09/10: José's team didn't ever look like challenging Barça for top spot in the Groups; but they learnt their lesson, bedded in their new recruits, made crucial January signings, and beat Barça on the way to winning the cup!

- what a challenge for Napoli! this summer, they not only managed to keep hold of their stars, but have reinforced, which is great! but success has gone to President De Laurentiis' head, and he has been shooting his mouth off ever since his side made the Champions League ... luckily Barça brought them down to earth in the Gamper Trophy, so they will be humble and hopefully prepared going into that amazing group ...
haha, all 3 sides qualify, making Italy the nation with the most representatives in the Champions League! (H) no guarantee that any of the three will progress any further (the draw will be crucial, as always), but it's cool while it lasts ...

I am ecstatic that Srallex will have to face the ignominy of managing a Europa League team :bouncy: ... but in terms of calcio, Basel going through may the bigger deal, as is APOEL topping their group ... usually I want to see teams I like get drawn against the best (and that is certainly the case with José's Moudrid); for Milan, however, I want to see them draw no one but APOEL ... Inter would ideally face Basel ... and Napoli would get either Benfica or the Arse ... looking forward to what Dec. 16th will bring ...

Marchisio was stagnating in the past couple of seasons, and many thought he had peaked and leveled off ... so it's a pleasant surprise to see him finally shift up a gear in his development ... his winner against Milan was ridiculously lucky/flukey, but that shouldn't distract from the impressive performances he's been putting in ... I'd love to see him carry that level onto the international scene, all the way through July 2012 (Y) ...

Inter-Genoa seems to always produce a goalfest ... good for Strama, starting off with a rollercoaster win ...

looking forward to Juve-Napoli ... a win for the home side would cut the lead at the top to 2 points, while a win for the visitors would lift them into the final Champions League spot ... hopefully sparks will fly ...

I woke up at 6.30 watching Roma x Novara and thought that was going to be the highlight of the weekend, the conclusion of the Inter game however blew the mind.

Starting XI

Quite critical match for Lazio plus their loss against Novara.

4 teams are heading for 3rd place now, which seems to be not decided yet til the final round. Interesting to see.

And remaining schedule for Inter seems quite tough compared to others. (Parma-Milan-Lazio) Well, 3rd placed teams in Serie A got eliminated in playoff stage for last two years. Not easy. :clapwap:

The race for 3rd is pretty intense this year, probably the most interesting part of the league

stupid f*cking Napoli have twice choked at the clutch moments of the season ... vs. Chelsea, and now this ... Udinese move into the last Champions League spot, with one game to go :kader: ...

ooo, that's actually closer than most people might think ... Pocho Lavezzi has had success with Napoli, not least in the Champions League, while Atom Ant failed to deliver at the highest level with Juve, and Parma aren't exactly excelling consistently under his influence ... so, currently, one has to rate Lavezzi well above Giovinco ...

but, if I'm picking just one player for my team, I'd rather have Giovinco ... his vision and touch would be useful in more than just a counterattacking system, unlike Lavezzi ...

who would you go with?

I think Lavezzi is the better player when the team is played to his strengths, but Gio is more able to succeed in different systems, in terms of goals scored and assist however Giovinco beats Lavezzi on both.

For the current Juve side I would probably have to go with Giovinco (assuming both were free/same price which isn't the case but for arguments sake) as the main issue has been breaking down thickened defenses. Lavezzi would be a better choice for the Champions League however as we don't really have any players of his quality and style to bust good teams on the break. It's very, very close especially if you take into account Giovinco has only really proven himself whilst being a big fish in a small pond..

Forza Suarez! (ps brotha can you spare a dime?)
Now Milan can't complain about the Muntari goal since Inter just had a similar situation and their goal was disallowed too.
