i used character map to type my name in greek then copy and pasted into CM 08 and it didnt work it came out as regular letters. is it possible to make a work around for that?

This is to Rinaldo.First of all I would like to thank you for making the best program for FIFA 08.I want to know where are all the genric emblems for created clubs stored i.e.the clubs we create in the game.I know it is saved in my documents but there should be zdata in which all of them are supposed to be stored and if possible can you find it out for me.

I don't know where they are, but I suggest you to use File Master to browse zdata and find them by yourself.

I would also like to request if it would be possible for you to include an option of importing accessories like Goggles,headband,necklace and others.Because EA have once again forgotten to give Goggles in the game.

I don't think it is possible because I think they are part of more complex .o file. Maybe some expert or models could confirm this.

Can't you type directly in the name box in greek ? Maybe it is the copy and past to introduce the problem.

You should change the .o model and create a new kit texture model. This is not my speciality. Outsider has a thread showing that he was able to do it.

How would i go about doing this exactly? coz i'm not really sure how. Is it in the program files or do i need to use dbm 08?

Select the option of CM08 "Specific zdata" (you must do it before to open a file). Check also if you have a zdata file of size equal to 0 and remove it.

I've noticed that there is the international club challenge available in the game but not for Career mode, if I check the box then I guess it will be available in a career, would this corrupt my current career file though? I'm currently in the EPL so I would like to try another career tournament besides the UEFA and CL.

Yes I think it will corrupt you career. But if you make a backup of your current career file AND of your current fifa.db file you can restore them later and continue your career.

i'd have to change the font type to symbol somehow to physically type in greek


the font is symbol that uses greek. obviously CM uses some other font


hmm i used microsoft word and type a word in greek than copied and pasted in CM 08 and it came out in boxes. not sure if itll appear right in game

CM08 has started crashing everytime I import a kit. And when I re-open it, everthing is gone and my zdata_44.big has a size of 0k.

Fortunatelly I backed it up. My zdata_44.big is currently 192,840kb. Is this somethign to do with the size of the zdata_44.big file?

both apparently are 1KB but thats the smallest i've found. Also zdata_00.big seems empty.

I'm not really sure if this question has been answered yet but just wondering...

Initially I've updated my FIFA with official patches before using CM. After using CM I noticed that the database I was editing is the original one, which means the official roster updates are not in there. Is there anyway I can edit my database with the new official updated rosters already in it?

Secondly, there's no Vietnam in the country list I'm trying to create my national team but unfortunately couldn't find it And I couldn't assign myself to Vietnamese nationality either 'cause it's not there

I tried this tournament in manager mode but couldn't get it to work. I started as Barca assuming the tournament would enter the winner of the ECC into the tournament but on my 3rd season i went to the calendar and noticed i wasn't entered.

So the tournament i'm assuming in manager mode only allows you to play as AC Milan, Boca Juniors and whoever else is entered for it in the game by default.

Is there a way we could set it so that the winner of the ECC is entered? or would that make the tournament not work in tournament mode?

It is possible to work around this limitation by using my EAFFPatchRollup utility to create a FIFA.DB with the patched rosters incorporated into it - see this post in the 'Players have dissapeared after uploading faces with CM08' thread (and a couple of later ones which give a little more detail on running the utility)

I made some roster changes to a team using CM but decided I wanted to get the original squads back. So I uninstalled CM, uninstalled FIFA and deleted all the associated files I could find (including D.My Squads etc.) However, after reinstalling FIFA the squads are the same as the one I created using CM!? Is there some hidden file I need to delete? I just want to reinstall FIFA and get a clean database back.

you needed to have a back up of your database file coz you're editing the database in cm08 so it changes the defaults so uninstalling doesn't work.

Basically there aren't any hidden files.

First create the Country (using the Country Form - create button). Then you can assign the new Country to players, teams and so on.

You can do this editing the tournament from the Tournament Window of CM08, click the buttons "Team #" to modify the rule used by FIFA to qualify a team for the tournament.

so rinaldo will you release an update for the ability to use different laguage letters for fifa 08? (specifically greek in my case)? like sue the default windows fonts. like symbol for the greek letters.
