Yeah Australia run hot and cold all the time

South Africa and Sri Lanka test update

South Africa were chasing 122 for victory

I thought easy total or so it would seem

2-13 ohh to my shock this is going to be interesting

Prince and Kallis I thought would get the runs until they both got out

at one stage 5-44!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

but as South Africa are too strong at home its currently 6-100 and the totals theirs :(

Sri Lanka at heart did a superb bowling at the end.

Australia have done nothing special...
In the past 2 years where the aussies have so much, they have lost quite a few as well...
1stly Losing to India in India , the test series...
2ndly Drawing against New Zealand in Aus , the test series
3rdly Not Reaching the C&U Series final in aus
4thly Losing 3 match ODI series against Pak in aus

so it only shows that they are not invincible...
everybody in world knows they are worldclass side but u got to develop plans and strategies to defeat them...and i'm sorry to say england haven't done their homework reagrding this...

1-This was a fair bit ago now, and Playing India in India has always been the one bogey for the Aussies
2-If u saw that series, u would know that Rain drew the series with Australia, not NZ. Australia dominated the first two tests, but they were washed out. It wasnt until the 3rd when NZ even looked like being a chance at winning.
3-We're speaking strictly test matches here. They are very different games. HOWEVER, that CUB series Australia played poor at the start, esp. against NZ, HOWEVER, it ended up coming down to South Africa virtually choosing their opponent for the final, and rather then chasing the win in their last match against australia, they just made sure Australia didnt get a bonus point. This meant that NZ went thru ahead of Australia. I have no doubts that had South Africa chased the win that Australia would have ended up with the BP, and beaten SA in the finals of the series. They had hardly lost to SA the whole series as it was.
4-As i said ODI are a completely different kettle of fish, but again, ive got excuses ;)
It was right in the middle of the off season for Australia, and basically after the first game, we jsut went downhill...

Anyway, looking purely at test teams, Australia at the moment are just so far ahead of the pack, that they are dominating all opposition.

One Dayers always have more luck thrown in, and small events can haev huge bearings on the game.

did you what Shaun Pollock did to Mahela Jayawardene... slapping mahela on the bakc of helmet when he was running for a single

then Kallis said rubbish when he was bowled by fernando

then boucher stepped in and said something "which i couldn't make out"

Finally Pollock apologised for his team

and after all this they dont get fined !if the aussies( especially mcgrath) use slang words , abuse players , they are forgiven again and again .... if flintoff swigs his shirt in the match , he's forgiven .....if SA , AUS and other teams appeal to a catch , LBW and umpire gives it not out , they grumble and will argue with umpire , and nothing happens to them ....if a batsmen(of other teams other than india , pak and SL) is given out when he's not out then they'll stand for minutes and will stare at the umpires but they'll be forgiven.....

ganguly did the same as flintoff and the whole world tells that he does not have manners .... if indians appeal to a catch which is out and the umpire do not agree they are fined and banned for 3 matches ! forget the abusive language ! if they Will abuse players , i think they will be not allowed to play for a year ! once ganguly had just indicated that when other team was appealing for LBW , that the ball hit the bat , he was fined and banned for a match ! why the hell arethe indian sub continent targeted all the time ? :kader:

i'm surprised that pollock & co. got away with it...

regarding the 6 man ban which was slapped to india when on tour to SA for " excessive appealing " and charging towards umpire... that was the most ridiculous and unprofessional umpiring i had seen ever"

i do remembr Michael Slater being fined against India when he had a few words to say to rahul dravid and also arguing with umpire venkatraghavan

Did anyone watch the end of the South Africa Sri Lanka test all the sledging and stuff by the Sri Lankan WK very funny

South Africa with 3 wickets in hand need one run

Sangrakka to Pollock: "Just be gracious in defeat you ****wit, dont be like this yada yada yada" - Boucher hits the winning run next ball - Sangrakka left with his mouth shut

haha, yeah I think what they meant was Vaughan is batting well, not England.

Ive said the whole time Vaughan is looking good, he is without a doubt the most talented English batsmen for quite a while.

Warne and Gillespie soon turned things around though. If i remember correctly, England were looking good in their first innings of the first test too ;)

Anyway Score:

England all out for 342

Australia 0-34.

To answer ur last question, they arent.

Really, I think ur over exagerating things. The Sri Lankans AND South Africans were both carrying on, and BOTH should have been hit with fines. As for Australia not being fined, *ahem*Slater..

Not only was he fined, but eventually dropped from the test team for disciplinary reasons.

Then in South Africa a few years back Shane Warne was fined for discipline too, and only last summer, I think McGrath was fined during our one day series over here...
