i know but its how the media that blows things out of proportion is what annoys me. Take our case of Frank for example, I've been reading various reports saying the transfer deal is agreed, done, blablalbala...........but Inter only just made one bid and it was rejected as soon as it was made. U could say it is normal when yer one of the so-called big four.

Its good that finally things are coming to close in this Ronaldo saga drama, whatever u call it. We've surely don't want football to turn into a soap opera in sports.(that honor is already taken by the WWE)

lol, as far as I'm concerned the media were the ones who say things out of context, thus making speculation and rumours unsettling for fans and clubs involved..........United were quite lucky Blatter came out and said some stupid utterly comments(like he always does) that gave the media a new target to work with.

The only concern is for how long will he stay, will he be able to perform on the same levels as the last two seasons knowing the some of the Utd faithful will undoubtedly turn against him.

that's what I'm wondering....

I think he'll be transfered in the winter market..it gives United more time to find a replacement and him more time to exit in a good fashion...

You know it is possible that he would refuse to play in the Cup matches to force his way out...anyway its just speculation, in spite of the "meeting" Spanish media still say he is leaving

Plus the January window is like the Indie music of transfers. You almost never have the big popular mainstream hits happening there.

I don't mind too much which way this goes... as long as he's managed to prove once again what a wally he is. If he stays then the Prem keeps his good side and one its best players, if he leaves he takes his bad side somewhere else so we don't have to put up with it.

ManU can still win the league without him.

I so agree I think going to Madrid would be a bad move. He is better off at more organised clubs that they dont change coach every season and just go after the best player in the world even if they dont need him.

i'm getting kind of irked with some Man U fans who seem to believe that it is their club alone that is worthy of all praise, their club alone that derserves to have quality players or whatever...you won the double, congrats, now get over it, and face the fact that there are at least 6 other clubs in the world as great if not arguably greater than Man U....all these claims of playing anywhere but Man U is a mistake are just plain silly...:willis:

Where did I say that?

I was only talking about how moving to Madrid would be a bad move nowhere did i say leaving United would a wrong move. note I actually said "He is better off at other more organised clubs" in other words i think he better off else where than at Madrid jeeez man.

Same here. How cliche it has become to say "it's a big mistake if he leaves MUFC"??? I mean......why? why is it amistake? I don't get it! As if he could only be good at MUFC! It's arrogance if you ask me. Plus, he's already won everything their. Why is it wrong to seek out new pastures?

And to put things in perspective, Liverpool is the most successful club in the EPL, not MUFC (not trying to start anything but that is fact, period), and Real Madrid have collected the most title of any football club in the world! Then we can start comparing Milan as well...

P.S - is that Ronaldos face photoshopped onto a chicks body? Looks crazy and spooky. Shaven legs and all. Very feminine. Man, I wonder if he looks at himself in the mirror if that truly is him!:$

Firstly I believe it would be a mistake for Ronaldo to move because everything at United is set up for him. The team was shaped around him and Rooney, the fans worship(ped) him and he's great in the style of football United play. It is why United, not Real are Kings of Europe currently.

At Real Madrid he would not be catered for in the same way - Without the industry United's other players put in - he would not be the same player. Van Nistelrooy needs the service, Raul needs the service, Sneijder will run at people and so will Robben. At United Ronaldo is almost spoon fed - how many goals did Rooney pass up to give him the ball?

Also having read Steve McManaman's account of life at Madrid - it seems to me the emphasis is put on Marketing over football, although United do market heavily I believe Sir Alex insists on the focus being football. Also their antics in the transfer and aquisition of players - and the preferential treatment of them from FIFA / UEFA sickens me.

United occasionaly bend the rules (which is wrong), but never as blatantly as Madrid have done with Zidane, Figo, Beckham and now Ronaldo.

I personally have lost nearly all the respect I had for them. Okay so they won more titles than United (Who have relatively recently begun to be a "superpower" in European football (after the Babes - the club hit a bit of a dip) and 10 European cups (a lot of which were when there were only 4 teams competing)

TBH Madrid need someone to rally the fans and sell shirts - and they picked Ronaldo as the man. Because if we hang on to him, with his marketing potential we will reclaim our title as the "World's richest club" in terms of revenue. That's why if he does go - United should ask for silly money.

Mikey, are you seriously telling me that after all thats happened, with Ronaldo having deeply insulted Manchester United and all its fans, to a level that has no precedents, and treating the club like sh!t, that Manu fans would actually still buy a replica shirt with Ronaldo on the back? Surely not mate.

I don't think the "tuned in fans" would - I certainly wouldn't myself, but you can bet your Chelsea season ticket that all the kids will still be asking Father Christmas to bring them one - and/or demanding one from the megastore. Children are easily swayed by such things - Ronaldo will still be a hero to them because they don't understand what he's been saying and doing (unless parents have explained it to them)

I imagine it's pretty difficult to say no to a small child who wants Ronaldo on their shirt when you're at the megastore / sport shop after they ask incessantly.

Yes we were about marketing, especially under Florentino but so what? Football is abusiness, otherwise you'd be watching games at Old Trafford for free! I am baffled by how many people assume it's not or shouldnt be abusiness. Florentino was a Carlos*ass in many ways but he always did what he set out to do, not to mention, clear our debt and put us ina position where today, we can sign players w/o worrying about funds, etc. Alot of people forget what Florentino has done.

So, spoonfeeding Ronaldo is a great reson to stay at Utd? Silly. He wants a change and wants to go, in his eyes, and many peoples eyes, the biggest club in the world. He's expressed it many times. So what? As for not having respect, I don't get it. We haven't done anything wrong. Your problem is between you and the little prick Ronaldo, period! Sort it out! And yes,m you still are behind liverpool, sorry. Technically speaking, you are.

The minute he scores a great goal, Utd. fans will stand up and cheer. Football fans have short attention spands and are extremely forgiving. Look at SAF, he's basically kneeling down to Ronalsdo, begging and lowering himself and his standards. No one player is bigger than man Utd? Clearly, Ronaldo is proving this wrong!

I no longer wear my jerseys with Ronaldo on the back. He has alot of work to do to get the fans back. He should take a look at Ferdinand.
