Noooooo, he ruined the rest of the summer for me. I wanted this saga to continue for as long as possible. There were some days, following Moscow, when the first reason for me to wake, every morning, up was to find out what was going on with the CR7 transfer saga. This past weekend, I even connected an old monitor to my computer to follow "Showdown Tuesday" live....it was dissapointing that nothing happened, but speculation was that it would be "Showdown Weekend" as he was/is scheduled to travel to Old Trafford on the weekend, so that kept me going.
This transfer(or, as it turns out now, lack thereof) means that the ensuing bedlam outcome is put to rest.i.e.:
- Robinho stays
- Real does not go hunting for a replacement(for Robinho), and thereby enter into direct competition(a bidding war) with Tottenham and Barca, for possibly one of Drogba, Adebayor, Eto'o, Arshavin, Pavlyuchenko, Villa.....it's always fun to have a bidding war for one player....it's even better when there's multiple clubs and multiple players involved.
During the transfer window, I ALWAYS cheer for the prevailing bedlam outcome. The transfer window just lost its zing!
P.S. No harsh feelings intended towards ManU fans.....I'm sure they're relieved that this matter has finally been resolved.
