Hold up, why was Cristina supposed to show up for training anyway? Isn't he in LA getting treated. Only a week ago he was walking on crutches and he is out till October, what's he supposed to do at the training ground, paint his toe-nails?:confused::confused:

I don't believe Calderon either. Every single week, he starts off with "Ronaldo case is over" and then 1-2 days later comes back with "We are working out a thing or two, but hopefully he will sign soon". Very obvious tactic used on a player to make him hurry his ass and do something about the move.

He had yesterday or today as his deadline to continue his rehab at the United training grounds like any other footballer in your club would have had to.....he's not in LA i hear he is back in portugal for the time being, attending a concert the day he was supposed to report to his team...of course, united played it off by saying, oh no we gave him permission till the end of the week, for the upteenth time.....sad

So I believe his sulk against Birmingham was the sign of judgment day?

Since this forum is all about numerology, lets find out who will cause the Armageddon.

10 (Gallas' Arsenal shirt) + 13 (Gallas' Chelsea shirt) = 23!

Blue of Chelsea + Old boys of Arsenal = Portsmouth FC!

SOL CAMPBELL!

lol, looks like Slave boy is staying after all. And this thread wouldn't even existed if he had the decency to come out and say what he said a few months early.

Real probably told him, they are shut out shop and they'll come back with money next year. He said in one of this quotes that he will play for United with the same commitment and loyalty he has always shown, so we all know how that's gonna be.

Noooooo, he ruined the rest of the summer for me. I wanted this saga to continue for as long as possible. There were some days, following Moscow, when the first reason for me to wake, every morning, up was to find out what was going on with the CR7 transfer saga. This past weekend, I even connected an old monitor to my computer to follow "Showdown Tuesday" live....it was dissapointing that nothing happened, but speculation was that it would be "Showdown Weekend" as he was/is scheduled to travel to Old Trafford on the weekend, so that kept me going.

This transfer(or, as it turns out now, lack thereof) means that the ensuing bedlam outcome is put to rest.i.e.:
- Robinho stays
- Real does not go hunting for a replacement(for Robinho), and thereby enter into direct competition(a bidding war) with Tottenham and Barca, for possibly one of Drogba, Adebayor, Eto'o, Arshavin, Pavlyuchenko, Villa.....it's always fun to have a bidding war for one player....it's even better when there's multiple clubs and multiple players involved.

During the transfer window, I ALWAYS cheer for the prevailing bedlam outcome. The transfer window just lost its zing!

P.S. No harsh feelings intended towards ManU fans.....I'm sure they're relieved that this matter has finally been resolved.

Oh!! Thank god this is over. As it has been said, no robihno to Chelsea and no berbatov to MU. Which could also mean, no villa to totteham. Yeah, I know some of these were rumors, but you see what kind effect such a move would have had

FANTASTIC!!! I am so glad its over I am also glad that Ronaldo had the decency to take responsability so all the Man U people can stop talking crap to us....and yes United fans will hate him for the first three or four game but when he scores that decisive goal or that important free kick there will be smiles once again...it is the way of the world of football

After he realized that everyone was tired of him,it was only then he decided he had the decency to clear that up. Expect more of the same from him next year.

:33vff3o::33vff3o:Yes! No Cristiano to Madrid! It was all a Calderon obsession. I dont understand bringing a superstar like that to ruin the locker room, chemistry, etc. We have all the pieces already except perhaps for one.

And yes, MUFC fans will bow to him in due time. Game winning goal, fantastic play, etc. But they will bow to him.

The words are welcome, but he has to back it up - only seeing out his contract will be proof enough. Unless United make the decision to sell him when they want to.

Also I can't help but think he still should have said all this the first time he was asked. He's right - it was naive to say the things he did.

And now we shall wait and see.

I feel like United have a one year loan player from Madrid, I believe almost without doubt he will be sold next summer for a pre-agreed sum, that is if Calderon stays president and he has a similar season to last...we will see, but in his interview he still claims that his ultimate goal is to play at Madrid....

Really, what a crock of sh!t. Fergie should be embarrassed by this statement.

So poor ol' Ronnie was tempted to go to Madrid so he could earn enough money to support his poor ol' mum and his sister. Oh well then, thats understandable I guess. It's gotta be difficult helping out with the rent and shopping and everything when you are only a millionaire huh?

What a joke, and here's Fergie asking the Man U fans to be as fickle as he is, and not to give the Judas a hard time, but to accept this pathetic excuse for the reason why Ronaldo has been sh!tting all over Manchester United all summer.

Did he choose to stay at Man U? No way did he. His club refused to sell him to Madrid (for now), and Madrid finally accepted that. He was left with no choice at all, because IF he would have been allowed to choose clubs, I think we all know it would not be Manchester United that he would choose.

Most Man U fans have already done a 360 degree turn regarding Ronaldo thanks to Fergie's pleading, which in my opinion shows a severe lack of honesty and moral fibre.

It just goes to show how desperately insecure some fans are when it comes to Man U, because to actually welcome this prick back into the fold for one more year after all he has done, simply reeks of desperation and nothing else.

As I said, the words are welcome, but I'll wait and see if the actions match. I have a suspicion that this will happen all over again next summer and what worries me is the fact we have someone in the squad who clearly doesn't respect the club.

I have two ways to look at this :

1: Cristiano Ronaldo is stupid and/or easily lead by his advisors and will do what he says and continue to play 100% for United.

2: This is a temporary solution and this will happen again next summer, or the summer after that.

Like I said, time will tell - but I'm not going to forget the way he has acted towards us (his fans) and United.
