Thought I'd bring this thread back since the movie is being released here in the States tomorrow. Has anyone read a good review about this movie? From everything I've read, this movie sounds like a huge dissapointment, I still might go watch it tomorrow anyway.

I saw it and honestly, I don't see why it was ripped the way it was, I liked it. I saw at at 10 AM and the theater was nearly packed so it should do well this weekend in terms of how the movie will make. Oh yeah, Audrey Tautou was :hump:.

Absolutely horrible (N). I walked out about 30 minutes from the end, couldn't stand it any more. What a 13$ wasting piece of s*it (N)

5/10 for me and I'm being generous.

horrible script, horrible camera work (makes the tremendous surroundings seem boring), and the acting is just mediocre (worst I've ever seen from Hanks but the script doesn't help him any.)

don't go see it

it just has no dramatical depth whatsoever, the actors really try but there's no script to work with. It's like the actors are walking around the sets reading the book.

I'd rather watch another movie with Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck (even tho they broke up and all) than this piece of garbage. I'm not even gonna bother watching it that's how confident I am.

initially i'm going to watch this movie yesterday but the tickets were sold out. now i'm doubt whether i should go for this movie or not :rolleyes:

I went and saw it last night and it was wierd, i think maybe I should have read the book first to understand it better. There wree also people outside the movie theather protest the movie since it was against god.

the critics here has slaughtered it. I read the book, it kicked ass, so Im gonna see that movie.

didn't even end up watching it last night... friend of mine watched it earlier that afternoon, and he said it was the worst movie he's ever seen. and he loved the book. said it strays from the book way too much as well (N)
