Though I don't quite buy all this 'best Everton squad in years' stuff yes they have Lukaku but at lot of positions are weak and a lot of the former heroes are aging and weakening

How will Everton convince people like Barkley or Stones to stay?

They won't I imagine, even if they win this cup. Stones wanted to go to us last summer but the board blocked it, now he'll presumably end up at city because we offer no European football

I'm still not 100% convinced by Barkley, hope he doesn't kill his career a la Rodwell

Everton will probably lose most of those players this summer but they'll make a hundred million, then they should bring back Moyes and tell him to use the cash to build a more balanced squad

They won't stay, but Everton are imbalanced, yes Lukaku is a huge loss but they need to be positive and use the money to try to make three or four more signings across the squad. They should be trying to replicate Leicester and find players in France like Mahrez and Kante
