"If there's no Champions League football next year that's Guardiola's problem, not mine." - Pellegrini on #MCFCvAFC

I don't like his attitude but City really disrespected Pellegrini. For a man who won the title and got the, to the UCL semis. Just look at City's stadium/fans at the game today.

I don't doubt him at all. He is one of the best managers, but he has no experience with a team that is not the best in the league.

Teams like PSG, Man City suit him very well because they have the best squad of the league already, and money. Teams like Arsenal? Maybe but he has not shown it yet.

City's squad is really garbage. And Robben never really had a big influence under Pep.

No one has ever won as much as him, his worst failure is reaching the champions league semifinal. Not to talk about how his teams play... Attack, attack and attack.

You are again deviating from my point. He has only done it with the undisputed best squad of the league. Not with other lesser teams like Arsenal. Barcelona was 3rd when he took over but they still had the best squad in the league. Same for Bayern who had won the champions league the season before.

Man City lost 2 points against Arsenal. If Man U win the game in hand on Tuesday, City will be 3rd. If Man U win both remaining games, we are through to the champions league. I still think City will make it just because we suck.

City's squad is the best in the league. The manager is garbage. City's squad is the most balanced.

Those teams, Barcelona and Bayern, never had such succes in domestic league before, Bayern never achieved 4 BuLi in a row and Barcelona only with Johan Cruyff.

City is also. If he is able to win the league multiple years in a row then that cements him as an amazing manager because that is difficult to do.

City will make or break guardiola reputation if he wins multiple leagues with city and makes an impression on Europe I will formally admit he is a great manager

I would certainly have more respect for him for dominating the Prem than Germany or Spain. The talent might be lessened, but the side he's taking over is on relative equal footing with the rest of the pack (a pack which comprises up to 7 different sides).

Its easier to dominate England once he adapts. That league is tactically poor.

Btw, who does own Cuadrado, Chelsea or Juventus? Do you think Conte will want him back? He already wanted him for Juventus few years ago.

I can't be bothered to take the time to explain to you the fact that it is not that the league is tactically poor par se, but that the tactics and tactical approaches developed and employed in Europe just don't work in England because teams don't just capitulate, or play by some set of unwritten rules of style or aesthetics, or fair play. The problem with prem is more a lack of top talent than top tactics, because too many rich owners are seduced by the European 'tactical genius' delusion and buy the players that top Spanish and German clubs pass on or judge surplus.

I heard that cuadradro was to be a key part of conte Chelsea, he is still property of Chelsea, I believe there is a buy out clause but it's equal to what we paid for him which may be too much for juventus despite this good season

Carlo, Guus, Rafa, AVB, Mou, Rodgers, Wenger are examples of tactically astute managers who have failed to dominate the league. I am sure that you will argue that Pep is miles ahead of them and several more ahead of the rest of the league but perhaps you should just stop being a blind football elitist and appreciate the fact that being the smartest man in the room doesn't always (in fact, rarely does) results in wins.

But hey, if Pep, Conte, Klopp, Pochettino, and whoever ManU have transform the league and induce continental tactics and you're right it's just a matter of time before the Prem overtake everyone else with their tactics on equal footing and their finances far superior.

Germany and Spain are two countries that invested in coaching formation and thats working now, the coaches in La Liga and BuLi are very very good (teams from la liga won 47 of the last 50 ties against non spanish clubs in Europe or something like that). English top teams has been an absolute disaster recently but those names will surely raise the level very soon.
