I have to admit that in the early stages of this season, which is viciously divided between the continental 'elegant football' fans of Guardiola and Klopp, and us aggressive pragmatist bastards who favour Mourinho and conte, it seems to be the former who are being proven right

Such a gamblers dilemma - the bookies are offering a ridiculous 4/1 on Leicester to beat Chelsea at home in the league cup today, I know it's immoral to bet against your own team, but what if it's in a competition you don't care about?

Honestly, yes. Especially in a meaningless competition. I've cheered against my NFL and NCAA football teams in the past during Fantasy Football Championship Weekend because my star player went against my favorite team.

I don't understand how can you watch some football match properly at all while having bet on it.

For me it takes the excitement out completely. For example let's say that there are Wales and Italy playing with my gut telling me that Wales is going to edge it and having laid a bet on them.

Now mostly I'm almost always neutral during matches which doesn't involve my supported team, or some team I have a thing for. So during those matches I tend to cheer for the "underdog" mostly, and even that could change during the course of the game, should one team score and I want more exciting match. So let's say Wales scores, no matter what - inside I usually feel like "yeah okay now it would be cool if Italy could equalize so it would get more interesting", while in reality should the score stay the same it would benefit me. It's like a conflict of interests inside me, which ruins the whole experience for me. I hope it makes sense.

That's why I tend to stay away from betting on matches mostly.

EDIT: Silly me, forgot the most important thing of all. Each individual is different and this sort of thing can affect everyone differently. Some get a kick out of it and it adds to the their experience, while it sort disturbs some others like me for example.

I'm not too big on stereotypes though, to be honest. Some of them are funny but loads of them are annoying. Like people associating Eastern Europeans automatically with extreme drinking, Colombia with cocaine and other bullshit like that. Perhaps some of it might be true to some extent, but to certain people it's not amusing and there is a limit to everything.

Sometimes when people are trying to act like comedians - what they're really doing is showing their ignorance or lack of sense of humour.

Not saying that I have a problem with the one you provided Arnau, but just had to get that out of my system.

I'll take that as a compliment, but yet again I'm deeply offended by what you just said, but to my consolation I can always say to each his own.

Liverpoo scored 4 penalties in the league this season. Klopp masterclass tactics "revolution".

If you get the ball in the box a lot, you're going to get fouled more than teams that never get the ball in the box. Like Man U.
