I just thought the same. Why bitch all week about Balotelli and then let him play all match again when you have players like Johnson, where you know what you'll be getting.

I didn't see all of the game today but I did see the second yellow for Balotelli, which was silly. He persists because ;as Mancini has said himself; he sees him as the mentor of Balotelli. Unfortunately, when you're going for a title you can't carry dead weight. I'm not saying Balotelli is dead weight, he just hasn't covered himself in glory. Mancini gambled on Balotelli coming up with the impossible which he has done for the most part of the season. Man City wouldn't be in the position they are in today without Balotelli that's for sure but when he messes up he does so spectacularily.

They would be in a far better position if instead of Balotelli they had a happy and regularly playing Carlos Tevez.

See I think some of the games he's played in, he's really taken control of the game and effectively won it for City. I honestly think City are playing like a rudderless speed boat at the moment. A fcuk load of power but if you can't out it in one direction, it's essentially useless.

Despite all their flashy and shiny talent, he was the one man they could have relied on not to choke and to rally the troops and pull them through at the end of the season. Without him, the lack of "top-club" experience of the rest of the City squad really shows.

Yup. Tevez is far better than Mario. He would have had more of a spot in the first team if Balotelli wasn't there as well. Mancini has totally bottled this season. His talent advantage is enormous.

How many real, PROVEN world class talents do Man City actually have? Tevez who doesnt play, David Silva, Aguero who is still developing, Yaya Toure, Kompany....... that's about it........ lots and lots of other very talented players, but all still growing into themselves as players and, imo, not yet "winners".

You must be laughing - should make third now - after the 8-2 did you really see that coming?

Also the gap between Liverpool and Norwich is now three points (H)
