The Future of SG Forum?

I just wonder, where is this Forum going? I'm relatively new here, and I like this community, but when I see info that most users online was on November 2009 and thier number was 3,209, it just does not make sense. Nowadays, max online users that SG have by day is up to 100. Even if you sum online users and guests you want get big number. Why? :bwtf:

Why Soccer Forums have only few regular users? Where are those 3.000 that were online once? What has changed? What are statistics of users and activity 8 years before and now? Is SG going in right direction? Too many questions, I know, but I just wonder... :confused2:

Well, if a I was a new person signing up and the first thread I saw was this depressing one, I'd quickly lose interest in the forums.

Back in the day, SG would launch a new FIFA website each year and it would be THE #1 place to go for all the latest news and mod downloads.

I think that's how most of the older members you see here found this forum. We all used to be into modding FIFA (whether creating or just downloading), but eventually we all grew up and found proper lives outside of it.

The Players' Lounge, on the other hand...

It's really not going anywhere. The people you see here now were the same people making most of the posts in 2005, it's just that some left.

I found SG throughout Fidels Hybrid Gameplay Patch for FIFA 11, and it was really coincided, cause in that time I wasn't playing PES or FIFA. After, I joined and stayed, and hope will stay. I like people around here.

FIFA Forums are really doing good job in modding. Too bad PES Forum is dead, only few threads and PES fans.

Actually, usage statistics are pretty promising over the past 6 months. SG was way more popular in 2004/5, then had a huge dip, but appears to be recovering now. FIFA is pretty much the bread and butter forum, as it's where we get all our new members.

This is the future of SG. I didn't think it would last this long.

SG used to be more popular because (as someone already said) it was the #1 spot for soccer video game downloads but now there are many other similar sites. Its doing fine. I think it's improved in the last few months. Previously it was on a consistent downward dip but I feel now that it's picked up (it could all be in my head however).

And yeah, the forum, I agree its got pretty slow and really quite dull. To be honest I just stick around in the hope it will get better again and to try and help it get there, I dont enjoy it much at the moment. But thats the problem, you ****ers turn up and go 'oh its not active, I might aswell not bother posting' and then it doesnt get active!

Woah, I may make a new forum and post in it by myself Shifty (H)

There are probably some examples of other users who do that already. :biggrinx:

Remember when I used to make faces for FIFA and they were always really bad but I stuck at it anyway? I miss those days.
