The Future of SG Forum?

Ive got quite a bit of experience for been on different Forums so i know a fair bit about keeping activity up when it seems dead.
Some suggestions:
Have a Facebook,Twitter whatever most of you guys use page, that way you can attract potential new members through that and can keep it upto date with whats happening on the Forums, such as changes, new subforums etc.
Monthly/Yearly awards for best posters, you could implement some system where members nominate who they think has been the top poster, most helpfull etc then you could have a vote and whoever wins gets some sort of recognition that would be decided by the Admins.
Redirect link from another Forum, say if your Admins struck a deal with a Soccer discussion forum, any Video games discussion from that Forum would be redirected here and any Soccer discussion would be redirected there, cough Soccershouts cough

Mint, that was a very humbling and impressive post. I think we should give you access to all authoritative power of this site and all subforums. I am the supermod of this forum and my finger is ready to press the trigger with you.
I love the fact that you have forum experience. It means you know how to handle all the different personalities found in forums. And between me and you, they are all alike.
We should definitely scour twitter and facebook with any loose souls that we could grudgingly convince to join up. And we need to have a facebook page to discuss all the different subforums we open up. Just recently we removed the spambot hall of fame and the personal grooming subforum from the players lounge and surprisingly added a new year's addition of fifa12.
And we should have monthly awards to encourage posters to be helpful. We could add to the rep system little doggy bones we can get when we answer something right for a noob asking about fifa boots, kts, porn passes, and uniforms.
And I formally want to set an agreement from this day forth that links sections of this website together with yours. I don't know if we can do this but maybe have random text highlighted, where if it sparks a necessary keyword for your site, triggers a link. I have faith that one day your site will push past this one in terms of popularity because new ideas always succeed. In this case we will have you as a strong affiliate.

Thanks man i appreciate it, this forum seems cool i only found it other day and im liking it considering i play Fifa.
Yeah i do have experience i was Amod on a training forum for a few years and now Admin on SS so yeah i pretty much know how to keep Forums going smoothly, i dont agree about giving me any powers here yet only reason is because im new and it might upset some of the older members of the Forum.

Well i could simply set up a Redirect link on SS after ive discussed it with frstplce (top admin of SS) but im basically in charge of all off site stuff regarding SS and im sure your Admins could do the same.

To be honest, we have always gained most members from active sites. The best way to gain members here would be for Matt to find the communities most popular sites, and offer to host their forums.
