Yeah, that's the thing, we need all the clubs to do well in Europe so that Greece can gain back its 2nd automatic birth in Champions League. However, I'm affraid that after last season that our ranking has likely fallen.

Are you excited for the big match tomorrow against Australia?
I'm assuming we'll play our traditional 4-5-1. I just hope that Samaras is in the starting XI.

well we're still 8th in Europe with Russia breathing down our necks.

I don't really care for this friendly other than we get the points agains Australia. We dropped in the World Rank recently to 20th and I don't want the Euro points to go completely to waste.

The club has to pay off $3.5 million in debt by Thursday or else the club could be forced to be sold or be relegated in the Greek league.

:kader:...yeah its really sad what has happened to the historic Thessalonike club. .....There was real hope from Ivan Sabbidis, the Ukrainian Born RussoPontian....but Giannis Goumenos did everything in his power to make sure that Ivan didn't buy the shares.

PAOK would have become a Pontian Chelsea :) ....now instead it looks like there will be many nights of rioting in Thessalonike

UEFA apparently has proof the the team fixed a game against Dynamo Tsibisli for the UEFA Cup of 2004. If this is true then Panionios is facing relegation. :nape:

Could the club become the Chelsea of Greece. A Greek/Russian mogul Ivan Savidis is bidding to purchase and resurrect the club from financial collapse.

PAOK lost its ticket to the UEFA Cup today and unless it can come up with 6 million Euro that loss will become permanent. PAOK will be replaced in the UEFA cup by Atromitos and Larissa will enter the Intertoto Cup.

Those are all top class players, for Greece, it is rumoured here that Alves is returning to AEK, any truth in that?

Yeah Cirillo was the best defender in the Greek league this year.
