The old Mini is on sale at most places for $179...

Apple is coming out with a new 4gb mini for 199 and a 6gb mini for 249.

Anyone know the difference between the old 4gb and the new 4gb?

I read that it's supposed to have double the battery-life but I think it's BS. It's also has the buttons on the wheel instead of above it. It's basically only a price cut...

I think Apples should stop ******* around and a) replace the goddamn earphones b) make the battery-life last for more than just 4 hours. For the rest I'm satisfied with my 15GB. I've used it every single day since I bought it and it's still working (Y)

Naw, that listing on there is for the new generation minis. The older minis said 12 hours. Im thinkin about getting the $179 one but then again its only 20 bucks difference maybe I should get the newest mini. But then I dunno if I need an ipod, i only listen to music from my computer or when im in the car... my deck plays mp3 cds so i have a ****load of music in my car anyway. It really only makes sense if you buy a speaker system for the pod.

Anyway, what's important is.... School tomorrow or no school Arash?

Depending on how much I use the backlight I'd say it lasts anywhere from 8 to 12 hours but now way that it goes all the way up to 18.

No announcement from FCPS yet.

Weather.com says 1 inch for tonight and other 4 to 7 tomorrow (morning). I don't trust this website as much as the local weather guys but I'm betting on a delay at the least. Definitely check the 11 P.M. news (Y)

See the thing is they have to announce by what... 5 am?

It's supposed to become more intense after 7am, which kinda ****s us over... well already be in school, and they hate doing 2 hour early releases.

I think we might get a 2 hour delay, if it keeps snowing they'll cancel...

the chances of snow tonight fell dramatically....

there was a 60% chance of snow at 3am, now its only 30%, going up to 60% around 10am

K-Man, don't quote me on this but I've heard that while they've dropped the price on the new mini, they've also stopped including the AC adapter with the new iPod mini. So you'll have to spend around $50 bucks more for the AC adapter anyways (which you'll want to do, rather than charge it via USB through your PC which will take a lot longer). It also makes sense the have the adapter for travel.

I'd either get an old mini, or get a 1GB shuffle which looks pretty pimpin' around your neck. I almost wish I'd got a mini instead, I got a 20GB and I'm finding it's just way more space than what I need...it's also a bit heavier than what I'd prefer. Still cool though..
