As soon as I read that I rushed to the store that had it on sale for 179, but it's sold out.... :(

I probably wont get the ipod at all now then, it's retarded... Id have to buy the new mini for 199 and then buy an ac adapter or a dock which would add up to more than 249 anyway...

i love the ipod and their design is cool but i don't think i would pay so many for a mp3 player. I dun really need it too.

Yeah, but my birthday's coming up and i can't think of anything at all so that's why... any ideas? :S

man, these ipods are useles.. I like my cd player much better.. wtf am i gonna do with 10000 odd songs?!?!??!?!?!?!? i can hardly fill up 100!!

well true, nobody really needs to walk around with 10,000 songs (unless you're on a long flight or something..) but 240 songs is definatly handy to take anywhere. To carry that much music you'd need to carry like 16-18 CD's with you....personally, I'd rather just take one of these:

you can get the 5 gb Zen Micro for $200 now, only $30 more. Now that the Ipod Mini is 179 though you have a lot of options.

yeah, but only the REAL expensive ones.....the cheaper one's can only hold one pre-installed Nelly song you have to listen to over and over.

check it out, Sony is coming out with a product to challenge the iPod Shuffle, and I must say it looks pretty freakin' sweet!

From what I've read it's supposed to make it's North American debut in about a month or so, costs the same as an iPod shuffle, comes in 512MB and 1GB models, is smaller than the shuffle, gets like 18 hours of play on a AAA battery, and comes with a built in FM tuner.....and best of all, it has a kick-ass little screen. See the text on the MP3 player in this photo? That's the screen! :)

I got somethin like that, 256mb, FM tuner, voice recorder and the likes... cept not Sony and battery life is ****e :(
