This is good, this will make shut up the ones that said that along with the uruguayans clubs the brazilians clubs were a diaster this year. In 2006 we won't see River or Boca on this cup, hopefully we won't see Racing either.:rockman:
At any rate it doesn't bother me who wins because the owner of this cup will always be INDEPENDIENTE!.:jambo:

Atletico will have to play at Beira Rio, in Porto Alegre because Conmebol vetoed their "expanded" stadium... Which is not good... Curitiba is quite far from Porto Alegre and the Beira Rio is quite big... looks like we'll see a half empty stadium..

Racing Club lost yesterday so they aren't qualifying to any cup.

Yes, I know...well atleast Independiente isn't in any cup as well...If we are going down, were both going down...jeje

But Independiente doesn't have any hurry of winning these cups, though it would be nice to see them winning any of them once again.:jambo:

15-3:p

PS: There's the chance that Rosario Central and Newell's Old Boys get to play against each other in an early round of the Sudamericana.

Atletico 1 -1 Bambis

Nice match, though Sao Paulo had the most of posession their goal was lucky... very lucky...
Atletico was 1 up through an Alosio header when the bambis had a foul in the right side of their attack.... they crossed it in and a defender couldn't head it away, just touched the ball and it went to GK Diego, who punched it away only to see it deflecting it into a defender's head and the ball went in from that play...
now it'll take a miracle for Atletico to beat the bambis in the Morumbi with 70k people cheering for them and of course being in the stadium with lots of men who leave their girls at home just to see more men in the pitch, in the company of many more men which they'll undoubtedly hug if they feel like it... damn bambis....

Like if Corinthians isnt like that...

Anyway, about the game, i think São Paulo could've secured the title yesterday, they lost 3 or 4 opportunities to score (especially Josué and his miss, my god). Atlético will play counter like they did yesterday and they might get away with it in Morumbi.

Atletico have nothing to lose, São Paulo does. Still, the latter should win this one next week. Oh, and Atlético commits too, too, too many fouls. They were the home team and at some point of the game they had like, 30 + fouls already and it was far from being over. Love "Coicito". (H)

Here's hoping... and yeah, Josue really messed it up....

Actually I think both do have something to lose... Atletico's season seem to depend on it, as their league campaign is abismal, even though it's still early to say they'll be going down... yeah, they do make too many fouls... but as long as R. Ceni doesn't score from any of them, I'm pretty satisfied...

oh, And Coicito rocks! lol

Congrats to the bambis... already looking forward to see Liverpool beat the crap out of them... though I believe 'pool won't be at their best for the tournament...

I've had too many "morontri" jokes today... just want the day to go by really fast and they start losing in the league again...

yeah....about that. I think Sao Pablo should ATLEAST win 2 or 3-0 vs. Liverpool in the World Club Cup. Common they are amazing (all round awesome team. Plus the best player of the tournament (future best defender of south america)...Lugano (wow...he's TOO good........But sadly might be in Juventus in the next few weeks).

Note to Pool fans: Because your team is based in Europe doesnt mean you are the best on earth. Sao Pablo isn't Once Caldas ;) (which btw Porto barely beat last year).

Sao Pablo is going to be next world champs.

Sao Paulo has an amazing team, IMO they're favorites to win the Brasileirao.
I just hope Cruzeiro could play like them.. :nape:

If I think logically and unbiased, I'd say Sao Paulo are favourites... they can match Liverpool in almost any position and they play good as a team... but then again I'm not unbiased and I don't want to think logically... besides, if Liverpool beat Milan, they can beat anyone, and that includes the bambis... (though I do believe Sao Paulo would have a much harder time against Milan...)

Congrats to São Paulo becoming champions for the third time.
Guys i believe you are going too fast saying Liverpool will be beaten by São Paulo remember both teams have to play against other clubs before meeting. What would you say of Liverpool losing with Saprissa?:p

I'd rather see them losing to Saprissa than losing to Sao Paulo... just like I'd rather see them losing to Wrexham rather than Everton/Man U...
anyways, I wouldn't say a thing... I'd just hang myself, or take some cyanide...
