Atletico Paranaense won't beat Sao Paulo... unless they get lucky and get a good goal difference at baixada... I think Guadalajara is better than Atletico and I hope they'll go through and beat the bambis... damn they're too cocky because of the titles they won in 92 and 93 (which were the last important titles for them until they won the paulista this year...)
The only problem with Guadalajara winning is that maybe brazilian tv wouldn't show Liverpool vs. them... so if Atletico wins it's fine... or if Sao Paulo loses to the Oceania side........

If you got cable, you're going to see the World Club Championship no matter what.

oh well... living by myself and without any university "bolsa de estudos" cable is something way out of my reach... hell, even a Radeon 9600 is out of my reach... I guess it'll be IRC text coverage in the world club championship unless some miracle happens and Cultura gets the rights for that tournament, with their new interest in football... we'll see...

Lucky, Lucky, Lucky Paranaense. :nape:

Unless Paranaense players have exceptional physical conditions, the second half will be a goal-fest for Chivas...

All the Chivas players that played yesterday with Mexico, are playing today!! :fool:

Wow, now that's what I call pasion!!

Well, the game ended 2-2 but if it wasn't for Diego and some of the Paranaense defenders, we could have scored more early on. I'm proud of what we accomplished in this tournament nonetheless, had anyone told me at the beginning of the tournament that we'd be semifinalists, I would have honestly laughed at them. The thing that makes it even more impressive is that we only use Mexican players when other Mexican teams have usually filled their teams with 7-8 foreigners when they make it into the tournament.

What a great game by both teams. (Y)

Paranaense deserves to be in the final, they gave an overall great match, with alittle luck and alot of effort on the defense. Diego has a very nice jump, and managed to stop some sure goals. (Y)

Well Chivas gave everything that was left in them, it has been a long, very long season, and it showed. We began playing games in the beginning of January, then the Mexican tournament came right away, we played both the tough end of that tournament and the beginning of the libertadores at the same time, all this happen while half our players where also doing mid-week (when there wasn't any libertadores) firendlies and WCQ games with the national team, and then they did both the Confederations Cup and the Libertadores finals.

It was tough, but still you never saw the players give up. (Y)
(2 very important games in alittle more than 24 hours, you gotta respect that, it's crazy!)

Right now, some players will have a shorth rest, then comes the Concacaf Gold Cup in July 8.

But i know the team will now, finally be able to concentrate on the Local League, and maybe bringing in some new players. So, all hope is not lost yet, we still have alot to come in the year.

Good Luck to both Athletico Paranaense and Sao Pablo, they both have a rightful place in the final, and both would make great Champions. There's no favorite between them, and it's sure to be a very exciting series.

Yeah, i'm very proud of that fact, and will never stop supporting this team because of it.

Not many teams around the world can do what Chivas has done.

We can pretty much count on having "El Loquito" Garcia now that he's signing for Chivas USA tomorrow. :p

Sao Paulo will destroy Atletico... and Atletico won't even be able to play at their home stadium since Conmebol requests the finals to be played on 40,000+ stadia...

Err... Did it even happen before?

Congrats to both Chivas and Atletico Paranaense in my opinion they were the surprises of this Libertadores, too bad one of them had to leave.:rockman:

It's the first time in history the Libertadores have a one country final...
Atletico are on a hurry to get 16,000 places on their stadium so they can play the final there... good luck to them... maybe they'll do a Porto/Greece/Once Caldas/Liverpool and beat the favourites to win...

If Sao Paulo plays in the same intelligent way that they did against River, they should win without any trouble, but.....................................this cup is full of suprises...

Total and pure domination of Libertadores this year. The Champion is Brazilian, no matter what. (H)

El Merengue Argentino
It's because Boca(especially) and River each had down years.

Argentina will be back to dominate this as usual.

Rusi, you my dawg but he told you!! lol......Im just messing with you... (C)

but seriously though...
If Brazilian teams keep doing this good it must mean we're not producing good enough players to sell to Europe. Which is a problem. Dont want to end up with a bunch of Libertadores titles and no international accolades.

Are you serious? The fact that we are being successful at Libertadores doesnt imply that we arent producing good players to sell. It means that those good players are still here, and we are holding onto them. Plus no-one needs a special team to win Libertadores, the level of competition is mediocre anyway. Apart from 3 or 4 teams, the rest is pretty below average.
