about William... well.. I don't rate him highly, if at all... there are better players... I'm not a santos fan, but I'll just say he doesn't stand out from the rest of the side (even when they don't have Robinho, Ricardinho, Giovanni, Leo...)

No news here in argentina. All i know is that in january of this year River bought the pass from Monaco, he was on loan previously.

I think its very dificult for him to go. He always say that he dont want to leave River again.

But if the offer is really really (and i mean reaaaaally) good river will think about it.

Again, he is very comfortable in River.

Yeah, I really do not see Gallardo leaving River at all, his career is quite at the peak at the moment....

0-2 its a hard result. But I have a lot of faith in River. We scored 4 goals against Liga and 3 against Banfield. We must be flawless in defence, so Sao Paulo dont score any goals.

I hope that Lucho and Zapata play better here in BA, becouse yesterday in Morumbi they were very lost in the field.

Salas played a great game, although he didnt score.
Costanzo is a great goalkeeper, with a lot of courage, he played 70 minutes with a injured shoulder.
Diogo played a lousy game. He doesnt know how to defend. But in the Monumental he will be very important.

We can do it. We have the offensive power. Sao Paulo isnt that great, they have a very bad defence.

São Paulo beat River missing 2 key players, Grafite and Cicinho, and it could've/should've been more. This year looks like it will really be it.

If it was any other team from any nation, I'd say SAo PAblo would go through.
But it's River and they will NOT go down in Monumental...just won't allow Sao Pablo to leave with their ticket to the final.

Don't worry guys, it's happen a million times already. River will win the next game by prob 3 goals or more (or could just force a PK).

And I think River's WHOLE defense ****ed up last night. Everyone was nervous (Jeez, could you blame them? The stadium was exploding). I agree that, like the other defenders, Diogo screwed up a few passes and left 1 guy unmarked. But, the last 30 minutes of the game was another player. He literally saved River on his own with that last second tackle that the Brazilians went nuts at (they thought it was a Penalty, but obviously Mendez isn't THAT stupid.)

Plus at the end when River had to push up, he went into like 5 one on ones with their Star player (forgot his name) and cleanly won every challenge (or else he was going to goal). You could see Astrada's face doing the "YES!" after the play.


But I'm sure River will pull it off next week. Man what a game that was last night. This could turn out to be a classic series.

Rogerio is probably the best FK taker (in goals/shot ratio) we have in Brazil and definetly top 3 in his position in Brazil (I guess only Dida and Marcos are better than him)
but I dislike him a lot... maybe he's just another cocky bambi but I think he's the worst of the lot... maybe because he's too inteligent for the average football player and I envy him/wish he played for my team but I just can't stand the guy

That's exactly how i feel about Rogerio.
Last night I was watching the game and after he saved this awesome FK, I was like "God I hate that guy so much." every time the camera showed him.

My dad was like ..."Why?"

"He's just....so good." (Well he's not THAT good. But none can argue that he is good.

heh, well they beat is 3-0 and we were fortunate that it wasn't worse. Talavera had a bad game IMO, I put the first goal on him and he gave the ball away several times when looking for one of our defenders. Can't say I'm surprised though, I'd like to see a team lose 7 players and remain competitive. We did have our chances though but Diego made some excellent saves. Well, looks like we'll have to give it our all at the Jalisco (or Azteca, don't know what Vergara wants to do) if we're to have any chance now.

i'd hate rogério ceni even if he wasn't that good. he's a ******* "mascarado" (kind of hypocrite) as we say here in brazil. but he's the worst type of mascarado, that arrogant one who fools on some stupid people and make them think he's such a nice person.

if i am not wrong he never scored a free kick against corinthians and i hope he never will...

Rogerio is a good keeper, but he is a great FK taker, he saw too many videos of JLF Chilavert, hehe.

River defence was very clever in not makin any fouls near the area.
If you think the Morumbi explode, wait until you see the Monumental!!!

It probably that river will play with 3 defenders. Lucho will play near gallardo and Diogo will play in the midfield. And Dominguez will no go too often in attack position.

We have to be very focused in defence, and make pressure in the midfield, so the sidebacks of Sao Paulo dont go in attack.

If Gallardo, Lucho, Farias, and Salas are in form, we have a very good chance.
