Anyway, I have just nipped in for this guy. Thought he'd go for more than 400k, but maybe the Transfer Market is slowing down a bit? Who knows...

Anyways, if you didn't notice on the English transfer market there was this defender ... I wanted him (hence sold my other defender and now I'm a bit screwed).

Just using the money I got from my ineffective pair of strikers, and my aging goalie, along with a bit I saved up. Plus selling an old defender, and this defensive midfielder I keep going on about (he has almost no partial balls anywhere btw

I think about it as a ladder. At the moment, each player in my first team is worth about 300k (transfer market value). So I
1) Generate cash from home games / cup runs / selling youths or trained up 'B' squad players
2) Sell my current first team player for 300k
3) Buy a (young and therefore resellable) replacement for 500k or 600k
Seem to be able to upgrade about 3 players a season this way. Soon I will have a first team of 600k players and can start trading up to 1m ones!!!
The only flaw is that as my team gets better it is getting much harder to find good english replacements without leaving a gap in my first team for a couple of weeks!
