Oh yeah that pisses me off as well, I mean something like that works in the NFL (the Canadian league is a joke) but in the NBA it's just stupid self promotion.

well they say that because the NBA, MLB, NHL and NFL are the best leagues in the world for those sports. And the good foreigners come play in these leagues. Its not like soccer where there are alot of good leagues.... But since basketball is getting more international I would like to see a world champions league or something so NBA teams can play teams from Europe and Asia.

I don't know why everyone is surprised at us losing to Italy. I mean Lamar Odom and Richard Jefferson are on the team. I wouldn't let either one on my intermural team much less my national team. From 1 to 12 this team just isn't very good. They just will not be able to play as a team. They don't look like a team. They look like 12 seperate players who are being to forced to play together.

It doesn't matter, you can't be called WORLD CHAMPIONS until you have played the world.

That pisses me off 2. Some Americans are just so gassed about their sports. I was more than happy to see the US team get raped to make all the supporters think twice of winning the Olympics without breaking a sweat:rolleyes:

You can't question whether or not the World Series is the two best baseball teams in the world, that's no question at all; ditto for the NBA and the NFL. The best players in from around the world come to play in the NBA! Bennetton Treviso can't compete with an NBA team because they simply don't have the resources or the reputation to get the best players in the world, it's that simple. And the only other American Football leagues in the world are a) players who aren't good enough to play in the NFL (Canadian league), or b) set up by the NFL for the young players (NFL Europe).

How do you know that? I cant speak of any of them because ive never seen them play but I dont know if anyone could have beaten the Pistons in a 7 game series last year. And also the Pistons arent the best team in the NBA, IMO. I just think they got hot during the playoffs.
