Now tell me this guy doesn't deserve one of the three spots on the national team. Keep in mind that on top of these spectacular saves, he hasn't made a costly error all season.

I'm surprised that no one mentioned yet the other oddity which would delay the championship decision - David Villa's 5-minute triple salvo on the dying minutes of Bilbao-Valencia game. A perfect definiton for "WTF?". Even as a neutral, I almost felt sorry for those dazed people at Bilbao, but that was just class.

The argentinian LB Mariano Pernia has just got his spanish citizenship! In my opinion he's the best spanish free kick taker, and one of the best in the world alongside Juninho Pernambucano at the moment. In addition he's in an incredible form at the moment (10 goals this season so far).

If Aragones call him up he could be a decisive factor on Spain NT role in Germany

My dreamed defense then would be:

I think it's a no brainer to put Pernia in the squad but Arragones said something about it being very dificult for him to get a spot.

Why? It isn't all about current form? He has been one of the best if not the best LB this year in La Liga. I can't see any reason for not calling him up. Apart from him not being a true spanish, but I thought those times have passed by.

Um, "no-brainer" means something is the clear choice, as in you don't even need a brain to make that choice. I am saying that Pernia is clearly the right guy but Arragones might not bite.

Haha, thanks. I slept very little last night, I just stayed up with all the chants stuck in my head and picturing what I would do if they win and if they lose. If they win my dad is flying my brother and me to the final which would be unbelievable. Tonight I either drink to good fortune or drink away my miseries, I hope it's the former.
