Boy am I glad that I cancelled my plans of participating in the Gay Pride Parade going on today in order to catch this match...........one word......CLASSIC!



BTW, my brother and I were discussing on ways to deter cheats from doing revolting dives to win penalties/freekicks, and I suggested a straight red card for a dive inside the box and a yellow for all other simulations outside of the box, plus a kick in both shins.

Mexico has impressed me the most in this tournament and were the best team all around in my opinion. They have that very rare balance of European/South American style of football about their play. They've got the flair to duke it out with the Brazils of the world when necessary, and play a more tactical and cautious type of approach (while still maintaining their finesse) against a side like Argentina just as well.

Mexico has to play the wednesday, the match against Paranaense is the thursday, i don't know if they'll leave before the tournamet finishes, plus they are playing against Germany. And i want River to lose actually.

What was the heck was Saviola thinking about completely deserved red card for him
Coloccini was trying to stop the player with his arms, it was going to be free kick for Mexico anyway, but he missed terribly and ended up headbutting the players face, a deserved yellow card for him. At least he asked for an apologuize at the end of the match.
In my opinion this sure was an emotive match, though i think that Argentina had more chances and could've scored before going into extra-time.

Oh well, let's get into the final against Brazil.
