What are the chances of you guys picking up Figo at the end of the season, since he will be available? He has played alongside Moro before, might add soemthing to the team  or not?

Well, if Keegan hangs around at City I am sure he would fit in with the Keeganomics approach to building a team :p but I am sure Figo would be looking for somewhere a bit 'bigger', I guess. And with Liverpool, if Everton slip up and pool finish 4th, then Champs League is still available to him... otherwise Everton might take him on :o

FIGOOOOOOOO!!!One of my favourite players. Superb skill control pace and accuracy he'll surely boost liverpool. igo is a defo for me because our right mid nunez and garcia haven't been impressive so lately. I can tell Garcia's just gonna get better but i don't think Nunez is good enough for a starting place in the squad.

I don't think Real will let Figo go at the end of the season.

But hey it would be a perfect catch for you. Atm you have absolutely NO ONE that can put decent crosses and you have one of the best headers of the ball in world football, and you'd get a player who rarely misses a cross.

He is 31 with 18 months left on his contract, and is basically saying that the ethical thing for Real to do for a player of his age is to let him go at the end of the season - some reports suggest they have in fact agreed to do so. His preference is for a move to England. I doubt Chelsea, Arsenal or United would be interested in him, and I would think his wage demands would price him out of lower-tier teams (like ourselves :( ) but I think a team like Pool or even possibly Newcastle might be interested - although I could also imagine McClaren trying to get him to sign for Boro. But I would think Liverpool would be a logical option for him.

like all the good players in the premiership are super pacey players

anyway Figo isn't that slow, he just was one of the fastest in the world when he was 20ish and he isn't that fast any more.

look at David Beckham, he was great in the premiership and now he sucks in Spain and he's not exactly a pacey player.

well I wouldn't mind Figo in Liverpool, don't like him that much but he would bring great things to Liverpool, and one of those things is crosses which Moro really needs.

Without getting carried away or anything, it does seem like Morientes is giving us that extra gear we needed. I haven't seen any of the match but its very rare for a close match to finish 3-1 so it looks promising, we just need to do it consistatly

well i think its good having morientes hes giving us another gear. its looking promising as close matches dont usually finnish 3-1... if only we could do it more often
