Luis Garcia's goal!!!! magnificant!!! Someone has Biscan's goal against Bolton??
Error of Carson;a precious goal for Juve :(:(:(.That goal is really bad for us.will be very difficult in Italy.

We played very well in first half but second half was a bit tired. Luis Garcia lost some balls in first 10 mins of game but after his goal he played really well. Le Tallec too played well but lacks timing in his runs;he missed some good crosses and passes by inches :(. Baros played with determination but lost too many possession. Gerrard was top-class with Finnan too playing really well.Riise and Biscan average game;Riise loses too much possession from the back; he must look behind him more frequently... Carson had a good game except for his error!!! :( the defence was quite good overall. Xabi Alonso was on the bench;looks like he will be back very soon..good news!!!

Congrats are definately in order to you all today. As the title of skysports football read "Livepool Humble Old Lady": While you didnt destroy them or anything, you managed to get the job done with all that talk about having no significant strike force. Shame Baros didnt get that goal, but he looked to be playing pretty well, and im glad LeTallec looks like hes coming good for you all.
Anyway, if you can press and play as you did in the first half, and say get the first goal in turin, it will make it very hard for juve, and im pretty sure you will advance. Im a bit scared to imagine that, thought, because of Chelsea advance, your gonna have your revenge
:$
Oh and glad to hear Xabi Alonso is back too! I know Lampard was remorseful for that tackle, but he was looking like he was gonna be an EPL team of the year guy before he went out. Again, congrats

 Luis Garcia!

Groin injury.

I certainly think we have to take the game to Juve in Turin... Otherwise, we will be on the backfoot for the full 90 mins. At least when we played like this, we got an early 2 goal lead.

You know we scored as many against Juve in 25 mins as all their other opponents in the CL put together this season? We scored 2 in 25 mins. Everyone else scored 2 in 8 matches.

its almost the game as the Bayer game, we were supost lose to them, than we go and beat them 3-1 at home, with a terrible mistake from Dudek, and every one was saying that the was going to be our downfall, that Bayer will score easily 2 goals, than what happens? we go attack in their home and beat them 3-1 again.

I think we should do the same against Juve, the pressure is on them, so we should attack, and try to score first.

Well, we beat Juve, and i'm happy. Everyone underestimate our team too much and we manage to shut them up almost all of the time in the CL. Brilliant goal by Garcia, and another mistake by our keeper puts our chances at stake, but i think we will go through.

Beating Leverkusen this year isn't that big of a feat. Yeah, they were a force to be reckoned with a couple of years ago, but now that they've lost their big-named stars they've turned into utter crap and are now the epitome of inconsistency. They have good players, they just blow chunks as a team.

They're still a quality side, you could see that in the group stages. In the Liverpool games they had their complete defense out due to injury - Nowotny, Juan and Roque Junior (underrated).

This is not an excuse but their defense was just pish especially at BayArena.

Liverpool played very solid, used their chances perfectly.

Good luck for the second leg anyway, I loved the way they were playing in the first half. The fans performed great, a whole different atmosphere compared to the libraries.

Couple of things to report being said in the news:

Alonso, not going to play against Man City this weekend, but is a chance for the 2nd leg vs Juventus.

Cisse, is a chance to play a part in the reserves in the next week or so.

Baros, apparently being 'tapped-up' by Valencia.

Owen, Anfield return could be a possibility. Where would we fit him in if we were to re-sign him?

On the Baros situation ive found a few articles about it if you go to http://www.newsnow.co.uk/newsfeed/?name=Liverpool

Rafael Benitez insists he isn't worried about Milan Baros despite Valencia claiming to have held talks with the Liverpool striker.
The former Valencia coach warned that if what president Juan Soler said is true then the Spanish club are guilty of making an illegal approach.

"It is illegal to talk to a player with two more years of his contract to go," said Benitez.

"I prefer not to talk about these things and I need to discuss this with people at this club."

He added: "But the situation is that he is our player and has two more years of his contract with this club still to go.

"I am not worried about Baros. If what their president has said is true maybe it is time to ask them about the situation."

Baros was the top scorer at Euro 2004 for the Czech Republic, but has struggled to discover his best form for Liverpool this season.

--------

What do you think he means by, "I am not worried about Baros...." ?? :S

Sounds like he's not worried about Baros since he's still under a contract with the club, not because he doesn't care whether Baros comes or goes.

It doesnt really matter anyway. I'm sure Benitez will offload Baros at the end of the season

F*****HELL! HOW CAN WE BE SO BADLY DOMINATED BY MAN CITY!!!!!!!! all our key players were mostly quiet. At least biscan got MORE then 3 shots. None of our players dared to shoot til the last 10 minutes. WHATS GOING ON!

Consistency has always been a problem this season (and the past few seasons as well...) we play Juventus like real contenders for the CL title, then play Man City as if we're a relegation-fighting side...
