I suppose if they leave Rafa alone to buy who HE wants, Then its not that big a problem. Id love for LFC to be the best again and the way football is..Money is the only way

Yeah, 'cause we wouldn't want to end up as European giants again now would we. I'd rather see some billionaire come in than for example Steve Morgan who seems to be totally on the fence as far as us having a groundshare with the bluesh*te is concerned. Right now the club is 30 million over budget on the new stadium and has an understrength squad. Bring on the money!

So you would rather see some billionaire spends million on player to make us good but at wat price? Im all for making us great but i would rather see someone who is connected to the club. Not some rich buisness guy trying to make a profit thats why for the good of english football it was good to see Man u fans protest against Glazer ,taking over their club. Wat about all the youth no more Steven Gerrard,Owen,Fowler, of this world coming through are academy the youth progress was halted under Houiller there never got the chance just like at Chelsea Ranieri was sacked cus no youth was coming through there academy. At White Hart Lane the travelling Liverpool supporter was singing "are you watching Houiller":rockman: i don't think Steve Morgan is the right man his already shown that whe he was interferring when Houiller was still in charge. His the sort of guy who would interfier in who Rafa wants to sign etc and might end up forcing him out the reason David Moores is so likely cus he never interfied in team affairs.I belive there will be more talk about a takeover later on toaday :)

I think it depends on what the money is used for. If it's to build a team for now by outbidding everyone else without looking at the long term picture and not ensuring that, should the money dry up, the club is a self sustaining entity that could survive in the long run without a billionaire then yeah, it is fairly hollow. You'd still take it in the short term but that nagging feeling of 'what if' would always linger.

If however you spent 200 million on a structure that bred the success through improved facilities, scouting, academy and the purchase of players at a sensible level as well as making sure the long term suture of the club was secure then no, it wouldn't be hollow and I'd feel a lot more comfortable.

Time for Dudek to be put in goal. That was a big mistake from Kirkland. I pretty disappointed that Sinama never started instead of mellor.

Toldo is looking for a new club, he would be a perfect replacement. Big and lumbering for claiming crosses etc but hes also agile for shot stopping, I say sign him.

As for Kewell, that goal might of been what was needed to put a boot up his ass He might start playing again now.

Toldo might be a good choice but what about Cudicini I don't think he is to happy sitting in Chelsea bench.

Jesus, what's with all this fear of money. I was talking about investment, not takeover. My ideal situation would be to see David Moores remain at the helm and to have a large investment made by a life-long fan of the club who is concerned only with the club's wellfare. Unfortunately this is not a likely scenario, so you have to make comprimises. I was simply responding to the fact that Atlas said that we do not want an investment from someone with TOO MUCH MONEY, which is nuts.

You just said it yourself. Progress was halted under Houllier. Houllier. The Manager. Nothing to do with investment or the boys in the boardroom whatsoever. If players are good enough, they're going to get games, period. A Steven Gerrard, a Michael Owen or a Robbie (eyes fill with tears) is going to be given opportunities regardless of the clubs finances. As for Ranieri being sacked due to no youth coming through the academy....bollocks. He was sacked because Roman wanted instant results and Ranieri didn't provide them. Yep, Chelsea is just full of their youth players now under Mourinho. Kezman, Robben, Drogba...

I don't see the Morgan thing ever happening anyway. His offers are always sh*te and his differences with Moores too great. I personally don't trust him as far as I could throw him. All of the 'I used to sit on the Kop' flag waving bullsh*t outa his mouth and then he abstains on the groundshare vote, which it seems he favours from what I've heard. The man does not have the fans interests at heart IMO.
