I don't know how your club can survive with that sort of management. They'll only sign a player for a gun threat.

Well the transfer window is over, and as expected, there was no last-minute deal.

Can't really say I am panicking, and as the first 3 games shown, we do have a decent team. While we didnt sign anyone, at least we tried. There isn't much we can do when one target is being chained up by Bayern while another is placed into another team due to "influence".

Lets hope we stay relatively injury and suspension free this season! :amika:

Ajax makes sure they are balanced? They weren't balanced for 3-4 years until they went for Stam, Perez and Gabri this summer. Ajax' scouts are ****e, the same scouts went for Charisteas, Juanfran etc. The only positive thing about Ajax is their youth system, their board is ****e, if Ajax was fantastic then how come they treated a long serving player/trainer/fan such as Blind, Koeman etc very very bad. Ajax is in a worse situation compared to Man U. Hell they couldn't even qualify for the CL this season by getting their ass whipped at home by a team who's not even strong enough to compete in the CL. WOW! great balance! Man U will show Ajax how to kick Copenhagen ass.

I don't know why the most of you are panicking, the only reason I can think of why you wanted another player was just to be pleased. We are having a strong squad atm. and the team that is fit atm is doing a good job, we are getting good results without the likes of Heinze, Vidic, Rooney, Scholes etc. And Carrick will turn out fine in the CM/DM roll, I am sure of that

Yep the board is definitely sh*te your right except Martin van Geel, he's the best technical director we've ever had.
And concerning the CL, every player can make an own goal or mistakes, that's the only reason we didn't win against Kopenhagen and by no means start underestimating them cause I've seen them play live in the lost game and they are very hard to beat. Hopefully ManU whoops their ass and go through to the finals and win that one (final against Real Madrid and Saha scores the winning goal) :amika:

Maybe i'm just too pessimistic but ManUtd is not the force it used to be with the leaving of Ruud and now Rossi, I hope they get him back in the winter.
Man Utd got stronger from selling Ruud not weaker. 3 games, all won and we got 7 different players on the scoresheet already, not 2-3, now that's a sign of a strong team. And how does loaning out Rossi make us weaker? The only way i see it, is that he will get first team EPL experience and cause trouble to our rivals as well. This move only makes us stronger, because when he gets back, Rossi will be a hell lot better, while at United he would have been the 5th choice striker with barely any game time.

Yeah but unlike United Ajax makes damn sure that we have a good balanced team
Again, 3 games, 10 goals, 7 different players on the scoresheet, tell me that that's not a balanced team now. United with Ruud was the most unbalanced team in the EPL, even at Arsenal Henry was atleast creating things, with us every attack had to involve Ruud.

It is a shame that we didn't get anybody else, but still this could be our line-up in 2 weeks time:
Van der Sar
Neville Ferdinand Vidic Heinze
Ronaldo Carrick Scholes Giggs
Rooney Saha

And have you heard of loan recall? Apprently,it makes the players that were loaned out comeback before they were supposed to, incase a team experiences a shortage of back-up!

I hope its part of the deal!

I'm not sure if the "Loan Recall" option applies to all the loan deals.Probably available to certain players that might be needed in case of an emergency shortage of players.I'm gutted as many of us Mancs are,all over the world.Disappointed that the board kinda went dead over the transfers.Allegations of AIG controlling the buying power is just sad.Its not so bad either as our squad is good enough to compete in wherever this season. It could have been a great squad but whats good for the goose is still good for the gander. The best reason I could come up with to why we didnt want to get any more players is that,The board and Sir Alex is confident in the players we have now and the transfer window, reopens in January, which is roughly in 4 months time. We'll see how we go from here onwards and will make the necessary improvements needed by then.Of course, getting players will not be much easier then but its worth a shot.

On the up side, I rather we get noone rather than rush last minute buys .. seems like SAF has learnt his lessons..

Another positive is that the cash is there, considering the amounts we reportedly offered for OH.

Better luck in the Jan window i guess.

What lessons? During past seasons, there were weaknesses that took ages to be sorted out. And when we sorted out one weakness, another one appears which again, took another long time to be sorted out.

Starting XI
Moyes is just acting like a little kid. Rooney can afford a better attourney aswell so there will only be one winner.

really disappointed with the transfers...but, oh well...lets move on...hope the current squad continues to perform well...

anyways, true or not, heres an interesting read...http://football.guardian.co.uk/comment/story/0,,1862730,00.html
...if its true, then i can understand why united or arsenal didnt go for them...

All the footballing woes aside,I think our board was smart enough to dodge this deal.It is indeed clouded with mystery and I can bet my last dollar that we wont hear the last of it.Its alledgely known that a certain Mr Roman Abramovich owes a share of 15% in MSI.He is for sure to have a hand in this deal. The sad part is why would Carlos Tevez and Javi Mascherano sell their 'souls' to MSI in the first place? In reality they are only passengers in the West Ham FC bus...Well,both of them might push West Ham to a spectacular finish in the EPL but expect them to leave early next season to a bigger club.

so these are the two world class players ey gill? kuzshack and carrick. if we were prepared to pay 18 mill for hargreaves why the **** diarra let go to madrid. i know he said his dream was to play for madrid, but the deal collapsed shortly before he moved there, thats when we shud have got him. anyways nothing can be done now.

strikers: saha, smith, ole, rooney

midfielders: giggs, richardson, scholes, fletcher, carrick, ronaldo. o'shea.

defenders: heinze, rio, brown, silvestre, nev, vidic, evra.

hope this team will be enuf to get us there and abouts in premiership and champs league this season.

I am not worried at all, we have a great squad, we still have a 100% record this season, we have scored 10 goals, we have been playing beautifull and pacey football, we have 2 of the world's greatest talents playing for our club, we have more then 5 first team players coming back from injury and suspension, we have in potential a great striker on loan at another EPL club, we have great talents who can do a good job for us and we have a great manager. People seem to forget that with the same midfield we beat the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal in the league and we only lost to Chelsea in the away match. With Carrick it can only get better and I am quite sure that we will be up their at the end of the season fighting for the championship

then that is cool. it seems fletcher is being now used as an AM.

oh and i missed park ji-sung in the midfielders list.
