This is weird...normally we go into the manu arsenal games as underdogs and win it.

its the other way round now...it could be tricky but i m confident we can beat them. Henry and RVP should make it... if not wenger wouldnt be so confident saying he can end our run..etc..

Yeah, the goal stood and the ref was suspended. Wonder if the ball boy got on the scoresheet ? (H)

And the referee being a lady as well. I've read that they are discussing about the future of women in brazil football.

How's Ole doing since he recovered? Nice to see he kept his faith during the long pause away from the pitch, other players would have quit.

Couldn't be doing better I think, he got the winner in the first Champions league game of the season, and has one goal in the premiership so far.

It would have been a severe test of character to get this far.

Yeah, just not in Bayern colours though.

This injury is a perfect chance for Magath to come up with a team without Hargreaves.

They had a team without Hargreaves, but they were just bitter that they couldn't get Ruud, so they had to be stubborn over his transfer fee. We'll see if they can get 18mil for Hargreaves in the future, pretty dumb on Bayerns part I always thought.

Of course. Man United are not gonna get him before his contract is up, period. You should have gone for Senna while he was available.

Yep, until he played so well that he became a regular starter.

Actually everything turned out to be ok after Owen understood Bayern's decision. He's more respected here, has a starting spot and plays with a lot more confidence. He said it was an honor for him that Man United were interested but now he wants to move on.

Who cares about the money?

If he was so desperate to be transferred he could have pulled a Gallas and threatened his club. Bayern knew he wouldn't do that so there was no risk.

Did we misunderstood each other there?

Owen understood Bayern's decision, but Bayern didn't understand his. Can't blame them though, they really would go on even bigger decline, if they sold Owen. And it's not like he wouldn't be very respected in Manchester or sitting on a bench.

Gallas is a piece of **** that disrespects those that got him where he is. Hargreaves on another hand is greatful to those that got him where he is. Yes, Bayern did know that Owen has some class and they used that to make him stay. Remember, Owen did say that a move to United would be the best choice he could make and that he really wants to go there, but because he is not a classless **** like Gallas or Cole, he accepted that he had to stay, for a little while longer.

The "of course" phrase was an ironic remark.

It's really tough to attract class players from the top 3 leagues so yeah it would've been hard to replace him equally. About the decline, Pot. Kettle. Black.

And it's not like he wouldn't be very respected in Manchester or sitting on a bench.
My point was that he (aside from the familial reasons) hoped to gain respect and play week in week out by joining Man United. Although he didn't get his wish he's achieved that.

he accepted that he had to stay, for a little while longer.
Well four years, that's quite some time.

ManU could have signed him for peanuts two years ago when Bayern failed to find a taker for him in England. And then there was a second chance half a year ago before he signed a new contract. He could have left on a Bosman this summer.
