Reading was hardly utter ****. They were pretty good. Convey and Seol in particular did a great job.

Having seen Chelsea vs Fulham and Reading vs United tonight, I can further appreciate the strength of these so-called lesser teams. Fulham with a depleted squad did very well against Chelsea until an individual mistake by Rosenoir.

It's going to be a tight title race this season. I wish we will start to score more goals for the next few games.

Was a pen. Handball. Definitely.

Reading weren't ****. They played well. If there was anybody ****, it has to be Richardson. Selfish idiot who thinks he can take on players as if he was Ronaldo. Ronaldo was excellent, but he is still selfish.

I agree Richardson didnt fail to put in a sh*t performance AGAIN. He totally screwed up our attacks. I dun think ronaldo was selfish...he's been doing the right things since the beginning of the season. Anyway, Reading for 90% of the match did only one thing and that is DEFEND. They were rather fortunate on the penalty...VDS unlucky.

These are one of those unlucky days, 2 pens in the last 2 matches, Reading was tough, especially with their home support. We played well, passing was good, we only lacked the final ball. Carrick and Scholes switching each other in the centre is working atm, but we clearly miss Giggs' creative touches

Ferdinand clearly had his day today, he was very good, well atleast better then the earlier matches, I guess he plays better with Vidic next to him

Starting XI
Neville had a lot of bad passes tonight. I think the penalty was harsh
Richardson proved once again he shoud play in another team, maybe in the championship, but SAF must have put his love on him so......
Good to see Heinze back but he scare me with his hands wawing everywhere and his tackles.... still he is my best choice for left back!
Rooney showed he is getting in better form but still not there.
Ronaldo would be my choice for man of the match!

Reserve Team
Richardson was absolute rubbish. Rooney need to find his form back soon. :(

Its pathetic we have to scrap a draw against reading. :nape:

Youth Team
you could see we lacked width with fletcher on the right, we kept trying to go up the middle and running straight into their 10-man defense. if we had of had park or giggs on the field we would have won that game.

over all i was happy with the performance even if we were very unlucky.

ps richarson was crap-tastic. sell him asap.

I don't think we should seel richardson... our team is depleated since we ended up becoming a selling club last summer. maybe put him in the reserve teams will teach him a lesson. although i didn't catch the game, i'm quite dissapointed at our lack of depth and form at the moment. from hero to zero, here we are faced with a familiar situation, stuck it the arse of chelsea. By the looks of it, we need to really send out a message in our next league game. kudos to ronaldo, so far he's been answering all his critics with superb preformances and goals too.

I am not also that dissapointed with the performance of rooney... let's face it, with all the pressure on his shoulders and his reputation in the world of futbol, he's really going to find it tough to silence his critics if they are on his back after every game. hell, im even more dissapointed with saha, by this point in the season i was expecting him to score at least 5 goals. well, i just hope giggsy and park rejoin the fray so that we won't be lacking the missing piece of our dangerous attacking football.

He went missing for large parts of them game , but maybe its good for him in the long run if he has a slump now , i think hes had too much success too early , the guys writing an autobiography at 20, hopefully he'll realise hes not as good as he thinks he is and grow up.

Help?

No worries, United are back to thier usual game. After doing good at the start, we always drop at least 7 points in 3-4 games, just so that Liverpool and Arsenal could catch us up.

good:
ronaldo
our passing
picking up a point during our recession phase
scholesey looking dangerous again

bad:
richardson
missing chances
dropping points
can go from a boom period to a recession within games

the worse:
4-5-1 to start off, where rooney was isolated, although scholes was behind him.

another september to forget for us, i am worried about us against benfica and newcastle. ronaldo is doing all the work on the wings, and sometimes gives it away. i think the ole at RM experiment should be re-tried.

i just dread an injury to ronaldo....he's by far our most creative player. Without him and giggs we definitely will struggle.

We need to start winning or else chelsi will once again be runaway leaders.

back to square one. :nape:

characteristic of fergie.making changes to the teams. every other match.
chelsea win cause they play their best XI every match. they hardly rest their top players against even the lower teams.
but fergie thinks the other way.....

Chelsea have a big squad, a quality squad in contrast to us. Chelsea hardly play their best XI every match because they don't know what's their best XI. We had to save Saha, who was carrying a slight injury for the Benfica away trip.

Have all the Beckham haters suddenly turned into Rooney haters? Why pick up on non-football matters like his book and add a bitchy remark about growing up?

Rooney is an amazing footballer. He will be a World legend one day. This was his third, yes THIRD start for Man U this season, and considering the cruel way he was dumped from the World Cup and add to that his 3 game suspension, he is expected to take a little time to get back into it. As for not being as good as he thinks he is? He is actually better than he thinks he is.

Anyway how the hell do you know what Rooney thinks? I think you meant that YOU don't think Rooney is as good as he thinks he is.

As a Man U fan you should be giving support to your best player not letting your personal issues get in the way of that.

SAF was forced to make changes, Saha is our only reliable striker atm. He had a tight hamstring so he was a risk but still brought him in when needed, I understand his choice, as for Richardson he and Ronaldo are the only pacey wingers we have atm, don't forget that both Park and Giggs are out so the 4-5-1 formation was the only option considering the group of players we have available atm. Evra could have played there, but I guess Richardson is the more natural winger
