Yeah, but then also there are rumors that the lawyer who was in charge of the whole bosman blowout wants to take down FFP because it will result in players wages being slashed and less transfers so it's potentially financially crippling to agents and players

How can something be financially "crippling" to any top level player? They have to take 75k per week instead of 125k?

I think it's for the players outside the 1% and those from countries that aren't the big 5. But it's also a lot of money lost for the rich which they don't like either - anyway I'm no lawyer so I have no idea how these things work

so glad PSG are looking to build an all-Brazilian defence ...

I guess the consolation is that the only one humiliated out there was the new €62M man ...

To be fair, Luiz seems to be organized when he plays with Thiago Silva. As long as Thiago Silva is at PSG, they should be okay. Now, if Silva gets hurt and Luiz starts with someone like Marquinhos... there will be some undisciplined defending.

I think Thiago Silva, at this moment is so much more important than Neymar in the team. His absence is an important absence because the Brazil game is based on defensive structure.

To be fair they will only play Bayern a max of 2 times and it's with Pep so damage is limited in that respect

Bayern doesn't play like Germany, that's only Real Madrid. We play shitty Lahm in the middle and he does lots of backwards passes.

been asking for Aurier for over a year and a half ... hilarious that it's a loan deal, purely to circumvent FFP ...

The Von Trapps
I've always liked Chantôme, and loaning him out last year was clearly a stupid move; he's a midfield "Paulo Ferreira", and he's going to be very useful as a back to basics, 7 out of 10 performer this season ...

Aurier is starting XI quality ... only De Sciglio would have been a better purchase in that role ...

David Luiz is worth all of €50 as a CB ...

easy win against Bastia yesterday ...

Verratti was superb as usual ... I know Pogba is supposed to be the best young midfielder in the world, but he's going to have to produce a monumental season to keep that tag ...

Zlatan going off with a non-contact injury was a shame; but with the Champions League still a month away, it shouldn't be a big miss, especially with Cavani finding his scoring touch with a really well-taken goal ...

the post-match antics probably made more headlines than anything in the match itself:

pretty hilarious to see Brandao instantly scarper after the headbutt ... I expect him to be handed a lengthy ban ...

If I was in charge of Bastia I'd try to cancel his contract over that. You know he's going to be gone for awhile.

Brandao has some serious behavioral problems. Wasn't he accused of rape a couple of years ago and fled to Brazil, eventually returning to France and getting the charges dropped? Ibra would have decked him.
