Paris Saint Germain kept their European hopes alive with a 3-1 win against Nice.
The Paris giants are keen to put a disappointing campaign behind them and prove their worth in the latter stages of the season and they were convincing winners over struggling Nice.
Pauleta opened the scoring from the penalty spot five minutes before the break, and Jerome Rothen made it a more pleasant half-time chat by doubling the advantage on 43.
Sergei Semak added a third late on but there was still time Sylvain Armand to put through his own net late on to give the travelling fans something to cheer.

Paris Saint Germain's major shareholder, Canal+, have decided to end the tenure of club chairman Francis Graille.
The French media have speculated that the decision was taken on Sunday, with an official announcement expected in due course.
Graille replaced Laurent Perpere two years ago, although the capital club have struggled this season and the club's board have seemingly lost faith in the PSG supremo.
Graille had been hoping to be a shareholder in the summer, but Canal+ boss Bertrand Meheut lost confidence in his recovery plan and was disillusioned by the failure to secure UEFA Champions League football for next season.
The Parisians have also seen their relationship with the club's supporters slump, and Alexandre Bompard and Pierre Blayau are the early frontrunners to take on the daunting task.
This latest development has put coach Laurent Fournier's position in jeopardy, as Graille only recently declared that he would continue as boss next season.
If Blayau nets the top job Lyon coach Paul Le Guen will inevitably be linked with a switch to Parc des Princes, as the two have enjoyed a productive spell together at Rennes in the past.

New Paris Saint Germain chairman Pierre Blayau has admitted he has a close relationship with Lyon coach Paul Le Guen, with his comments fuelling suggestions that the respected tactician could be bound for the French capital.
Blayau was speaking at his first press conference since replacing Francis Graille at the helm and he was asked to give his views on the future of the club.
Le Guen was prominent in the thinking of the scribes and Blayau has confirmed his respect for the Lyon chief.
"I speak with Paul Le Guen regularly because we are friends," said Blayau. "But that does not mean that he will be coming to PSG."
Commenting on present PSG coach Laurent Fournier, Blayau added: "I have esteem for the player he was, and I am very favourably impressed by the way he took over the team which was obviously in a difficult psychological and technical state.
"The first sight is very favourable."
PSG have often been major players in the transfer market, but Blayau would not be drawn on likely targets.
"Recruitment will depend on the final classification and the budget we will have," added Blayau. "But the fundamentals of PSG are healthy

Lyon coach Paul Le Guen has denied having any contact with Paris Saint Germain, and reiterated that he will wait until his side have sewn up the Ligue 1 title before talking about his future.
The reigning champions stand on the brink of claiming their fourth title in a row as they are 11 points clear of Lille with just four games to go.
However, despite his golden touch at Stade Gerland, Le Guen has remained coy over his future, with recent reports suggesting that he could be set to switch to PSG.
Whilst Le Guen dismissed such notions out of hand, despite close friend Pierre Blayau recently being appointed chairman at Parc des Princes, he again admitted that he will reveal his decision once the title is secure.
"Of course I deny any contact with PSG, I remain faithful to my policy," said Le Guen.
"I will talk when the title is in our pocket, I will speak about what you want, I won't change my way of working now.
"Our aim is the most important, a fourth consecutive title is not just anything, it is something extraordinary.
"That is the only thing that matters at the moment."
A point against Ajaccio should be enough to seal the Championnat crown, and Le Guen is expected to tell l'OL chairman Jean-Michel Aulas that he either intends to carry on at Lyon or that he requires a sabbatical year.

Paris Saint Germain star Mario Yepes has backed Laurent Fournier to stay on as manager beyond the end of the season.
Lyon coach Paul Le Guen has been strongly linked with a move to Parc des Princes and these rumours have been given extra credence with the recent appointment of Le Guen's friend Pierre Blayau as the new PSG chairman.
However the Parisians' Colombian stopper has lent his support to Fournier and also revealed that he is happy with life in Paris where he is Ligue 1's best paid player.
"Our last performances on the pitch will give Fournier a chance to continue to be our coach," said Yepes.
"Laurent trusts the group, with him the results are better and I hope we will finish the season well before seeing what will happen in the summer.
"I still have three years on my contract, I feel at ease in the team, in Paris.
"We have to wait and see what will exactly happen at the end of the season, considering the aims and the club's future plans."
Blayau was introduced to the players on Tuesday, and is expected to announce his plans for next season after the last game of the campaign on May 28.
