I just watched some poor **** build his stack from 4k to 12k in a matter of minutes then get ****ed up the ass on the river by someone else's trips to his two pair....sheesh.

That's why I'm gonna stick to playing with my funny money for the time being, man.

Real money Poker scares me.

One of the tings that piss me off the most is you are starting to get shortstacked, slow play a hand and get raised on the flop, so you push all in and get called, you're thinking "I'm right back in it here" you're clearly going to doube up and he'll in the sh*t where you were... only for the community cards to produce a flush or a straight or worse simply better kickers for both of you... split pot !!11&&#@@!

hehe, I was just playing a sit and go and was BB, someone doubled and I had Q9 suited... flop comes 3 clubs (I get the flush), I check and the shortstack (who raised) moves all in, I call, he has 2 pair... hits the full house on the river :( that kinda crippled me, ended up finishing 4th or something (top 3 gets paid... thats the worst feeling)

There must be something I'm doing entirely different than you guys: played 10 SnG's today (all 6-handed $10 buy-in), won 7 & runner up'ed 2 and only screwed up one ("DO NOT enter a multiway all-in with JJ" is the lesson I've learned today)

This is the heads up from my last SnG of the day. Read and learn on how to play short stacked and still utterly dominate your opponent:

I like it. Started playing real money last month. Still pretty low buy ins though (0.25 or 0.50$ most of the time, 1$ max). Took a little while to get used to the site, but it's the only one I play real money on. Signed up to Pokerstars this week, but don't like it too much.

Tajike: ya but the thing with that heads up is when you had the best hand, your opponent also had something good, so it's easy to win big pots with that... that and by the looks of it your opponent was ****e (H)

oh, and when I see JJ I automatically go all in because never in my life have I seen so many bad beats than when I have JJ... that way if someone wants to see a flop they have to put all their chips in

I've been getting weary of pairs, whether they be single or twos as of late....this includes the aces and kings.....even if they're suited. I realize that these cards, or the auto-dealer don't have it in for me and the game is all about statistics and probability, BUT BOY have I been ruined and raped more often with those deceiving hands than any other. That's why I've started to slow play them as of late....I mean, if some maniac goes all in preflop against by aces, I'll generally call 'em, but I don't initiate any all-ins on my own anymore with any kind of pair.......must always see the flop which more often than not comes back to owning my ass with some card-catching faggot getting the best of me on the river and ****.........and this is play money I'm pissing and moaning about here, folks......thank GOD I've opted against transferring any money to my poker account so far, man.

He was good actually. Out-played the entire table, except for me... And he might have had good hands but if you still play your strong hands badly you'll lose those big pots or only win little ones.

I got to poker with my soccer hero the other day.....just before he went off to the stadium to square off against Palace....he was in a hurry, so he said that he was gonna go all in on his last hand preflop no matter what the hand was, so I proceeded to call 'em also preflop (he had 30k, I had 25) and he got the better of me with his pair of kings to my pair of 7s....hehe

and that hero you say?

None other than the Bandana Soldier Efe Sodje himself.......word of honour, man. I ain't lyin'.

He was just a really cool, down to earth sonofabitch, man. Very cool.

I was in a tournament last night, $5 buyin, about 330 people, was doing really well when it got down to about 40 people, then one hand where I kept trying to bluff took away more than half my stack :( ended up finishing 33rd, so disappointing.

BTW I think we should put together a little SG tournament for whoever would like to play

I understand you play a bit on PKR too Tajike...

Could you explain these to me:

I get that they are meant as notes, to keep track of certain players and their style... and I know "Shark" or "Fish" what do all the others mean though?

From top to bottom:
1. good guy
2. stay away from this guy
3. small stakes player (not much to win off)
4. big stakes player (loads of money)
5. enigma
6. watch out for this guy (positive/negative)
7. loves to gamb000l
8. no clue on that one
9. & 10. shark & fish

@ Rony: love the idea of an SG Tournament! Fix me that sandwich, darling!

PC has been acting up strangely and almost died during the last couple of days. PKR is one of the few programs which are still in critical condition, so untill that's resolved (hopefully this week), I've found refuge on Full Tilt.
They're organizing freeroll satellites to win a seat @ Poker After Dark. Now I've got a dilemma: can I count this as an official 5th tournament win or isn't it official if I don't win money?

http://img475.imageshack.us/img475/7831/cherrypluckedatfulltilttw1.png

btw I'll be recording the progress of the 2nd qualifier (top 9 get a spot in the super satellite) on my trusty Zen this Saturday, so expect it to be up on my blog Sunday or Monday

**** Tajike, you don't lose often do you? I've been on a slide lately, down to around $70 at Full Tilt, always seems to happen to me after I tear it up when I first join (was at $150 before) :( for the tournament I guess we'd all need to sign up with/deposit cash into one program, which could be a stumbling block. since I'm too lazy and Tajike's already there, everyone who's interested sign up with Full Tilt :)

and Matt, is your character supposed to be/look like Daniel Negraneu?

Actually no, he's supposed to look a bit like me.... but you're right! in that screenshot he does look a lot like Negraneu! Hadn't noticed. (finished 2nd in that tournie pocketing 3 big dollars \o/ )

I have a much nicer alter ego though on PKR for play money tournaments, a hot asian chick :funny:

PS: thanks Taj :)

Haven't got any money on Full Tilt yet but I do know they organise private freeroll tournaments for several other sites. I could contact them and ask about it. Just need a time and date... (was thinking of Wednesday 8PM GMT if that's fine by you guys?)
