Close to get Polish citizenship is Obraniak read here.

Apparently Obraniak played for France as a Youth player. What the hell? If there's a rule saying that you can play for any country of birth/parentage/residence at 21, it should be irrelevant what country you happen to play for at youth level.
I think there was a similar issue with Tim Cahill wanting to play for Australia after having played for Samoa at youth level. FIFA gave him the go-ahead to play for Australia anyway.

Who is he anyways? Never heard of him. :p

Yeah, for sure.(H)

Tyrała scored 22 goals in 40 games for German NT under 21. He currently plays for BVB and he has been transferred to BVB's reserves because he rejected an offer from Germany to play for them.:read:

The Listkiewicz's era is over! Today we have the new president of PZPN which is Grzegorz Lato ( about Lato.

He was an amazing player but he's too ******* stupid to be the chief of PZPN. He has got problems with speaking, he doesn't know any languages, I guess, and he doesn't have any acquaintances with people from the Western Europe. He will destroy Polish football to the end.

I was complaining on Listkiewicz for corruption and I still do, but now I think I'm going to miss him. We blamed him for everything bad in Polish football but he had and still has connections with people who mean something in European football. They respect Listkiewicz and that's the good thing about him.

We beat Ireland in Dublin 3:2. The only crappy thing about this game is that we lost 2 stupid goals. Kuba Błaszczykowski is outta this world I tell you. Beenhakker took him off after just 45 minutes because he didn't want him to ridicule Irish defenders anymore.

Goals for us scored Mariusz Lewandowski, Pole wannabe and the almighty Robert Lewandowski. The last two guys played only for 45 minutes. I'm glad with the score but not with our defense.

To be honest, I don't care what Boruc does outside of the football stadium as long as he does great in the goal.:D

Nike sponsorem technicznym PZPN

We changed our technical sponsor. During the next 6 years it will be Nike. The contract with Puma company expires at the end of the year so the PZPN staff decided to do not extend it with Puma for the next couple of years.

Personally, I have always liked Puma stuff and I wished to stick with it. Maybe I'll change my mind when I see the new kits next year. How about you?

Puma used to make decent kits and boots but lately they're kinda off.

On Sunday we play with Serbia and that game should be very helpful for Beenhakker to see who is ready to get call-up for the real national team.

Poland tug at Tyrała's heartstrings

Sebastian Tyrała in action for Germany's Under-20 team
Likened to Lionel Messi, attacking midfielder Sebastian Tyrała has bucked a trend by electing to play for Poland despite representing Germany at various youth levels, telling uefa.com: "I never forgot about my roots."

'Real homeland'
While Polish-born Lukas Podolski, Miroslav Klose and Piotr Trochowski all created a stir in the land of their birth by choosing to play international football for Germany, 20-year-old BV Borussia Dortmund player Tyrała, who played for Germany at both Under-17 and U19 levels, has decided to go back to his roots to play for Poland. "I am very happy and proud of myself that I decided to play for Poland," he told uefa.com. "Even when I played for the Germany youth teams, I thought more about Poland because it is my real homeland."

Similar situation
Like Podolski, Klose and Trochowski, Tyrała moved to Germany as a child as his parents moved west in search of work. He explained: "I was born in Poland, in Raciborz, but when my family moved to Germany when I was 18 months old. That is why I started my football career there." Tyrała started playing for Dortmund as a ten-year-old, and quickly came to the attention of the German youth team selectors, but despite being a prolific scorer at U17 and U19 level, he elected not to play for the U21s, knowing that to do so would bar him from playing for Poland. "Even though I left Poland very young, I never forgot about my roots," he said. "I have always been a Pole at heart and that is why I finally decided to represent this country."

Poland call-up
The opportunity to do that finally arose this December, as national team coach Leo Beenhakker invited him to attend a training camp on Turkey. He duly made his international debut in an unofficial friendly game on 14 December, with his side winning 1-0 against Serbia. "I could not believe it when I heard Mr Beenhakker invited me to the camp in Turkey," he admitted. "I had to check that it was not a joke."

'Eager to learn'
Such good news has been against the run of play for Tyrała whose career has been hampered by a serious knee ligament injury suffered in 2006, since when he has found first-team opportunities at Dortmund hard to come by. He may yet be tempted to move back to Poland to resolve that situation, with Arka Gdynia interested in signing him, and the prospect of more international football has put the wind in his sails. "My first match for Poland is something I will never forget," he said. "And even though I do not know the words of the Polish national anthem yet, I am eager to learn it."

Haha, nawet nie wie slow od Mazurek Dabrowskiego i on chce grac dla Polsce. (H)(Y)

And he still remembered that he is Polish, even though he was younger than Podolski when he moved to Germany. ;)

EDIT: So Tyrala played in that match in which we won 1-0 against the Serbian team?

F*ck man, going over those catastrophes of WC 2006 and Euro 2008, bring back painful memories; even made more so that one of our best players didn't sing the national anthem... :S :(
