This a fantastic acheivement for us both. We'll finally get a chance to prove anyone who disagrees with Eastern European countries hosting an event like this (and bigger ;) ) wrong. Can't wait for the 2012 finals.

Mates, I got a report from Oslo! :)

Sebastian Mila: - I want to be in Vålerenga rest of my career.

- Im so satisfied with the club and supporters. After my debut at Ullevaal the "klanen" sing a song about me, that made my parents proud, and Im so satisfied now I want to be in Vålerenga rest of mye career.

I want to shoot more, and score. I will dedicate my first VIF goal to Klanen, because they support me. I really love this club.

Im going to start against Brann at sunday, and I hope I will goal in front of Klanen.

Do you have a "plan" how you want to score?

Yeah, actually. I saw this Messi goal (Maradona look a like) it would be a dream to goal like that. Im going to shoot more, my coach want that, and I have huge respect for my coach.

--------------------------------------------------

By the way, congrats with Euro 2012! :D I really hope Norway and Sweden get it for Euro 2016!

PM to head Polish team

Poland's prime minister Jarosław Kaczyński is to head the national committee responsible for the organisation of UEFA EURO 2012™ in the country. Poland and Ukraine were named by UEFA as co-hosts for the 2012 final round earlier this month.

PZPN representatives
Two senior representatives of the Polish Football Association (PZPN) will also serve on the committee - association president Michał Listkiewicz and Adam Olkowicz, who headed Poland's 2012 bid in conjunction with their Ukrainian neighbours. "This is the best solution," said Listkiewicz. "The people in charge of the country will be dealing with issues such as stadiums and roads."

Maximum infrastructures
Poland's government is currently studying potential legal changes that will help the country provide the best infrastructure possible for the tournament "We will enlist the experience of the companies that gave advice during major sports events like the European Championships in Portugal [in 2004] as well as in Austria/Switzerland [in 2008], and also the [2006 FIFA] World Cup in Germany," said Polish sports minister Tomasz Lipiec.

It's the best choice which could be picked up, actually.

Radomski ruled out until autumn

FK Austria Wien will be without Arek Radomski for at least six months after a scan revealed the Polish international midfielder tore the cruciate ligament in his right knee during Tuesday night's Austrian Cup final.

Knee problems
The 29-year-old, who has won 29 caps for his country, had to be replaced at half-time in the 2-1 win against SV Mattersburg that secured Austria's third successive cup final victory. Tests today showed the full extent of the injury, which could keep Radomski sidelined until the autumn. The player, who is in his second season in the Austrian Bundesliga after eight years with Eredivisie side SC Heerenveen, has featured in just 15 league matches this term having torn the outer ligament in the same joint in October.

Sh*t!

Beenhakker takes Feyenoord reins

Poland coach Leo Beenhakker will take charge of Feyenoord on a short-term basis in the Dutch Eredivisie's play-offs for a UEFA Cup spot following Erwin Koeman's resignation on Thursday.

Third spell
The 64-year-old Beenhakker returns for a third spell at the Rotterdam club after previous stints as youth coach and first team coach, guiding them to their last league title success in 1999. After leaving Feyenoord a year later he went on to become technical director at arch-rivals AFC Ajax, also leading Trinidad and Tobago to the 2006 FIFA World Cup finals before taking the role with Poland following the tournament in Germany.

'Duty call'
"This is a 'duty call' I can't deny," said Beenhakker. "I will do everything to ensure the club play in Europe next season." Feyenoord finished the regular season seventh in the Eredivisie standings and will now compete with FC Groningen, Roda JC and FC Utrecht for a place in Europe via a play-off system. Beenhakker's first game in charge will be the visit to Groningen on Thursday.

just curious here...

How is Slusarski thought of back in Poland, he seems to be a quality forward for Leiria in Portugal (even scored a goal today). Has he ever been to the Polish NT?

there's a strong rumour that Kazmierczak may be bought by Braga at the end of the season. Bad move for Boavista but good for Kaz as he'd be playing in the UEFA cup with Braga next season.

He has only 2 caps for NT.

I hear about this rumour first time, but Pogoń Szczecin wants him back because Boavista doesn't pay money for loan.

But I would be happy if Pogoń let him go to Braga for example.:)

The national team for matches against Azerbaijan and Armenia

Leo Beenhakker, coach of the Polish national team, announced the squad for the upcoming EC 2008 eliminations against Azerbaijan (Baku, June 2nd) and Armenia (Erewan, June 6th).

24 players have been nominated. A reserve list, consisting of eight names, has also been made. Coach Beenhakker regrets that Sebastian Szałachowski, Radosław Sobolewski, and Arkadiusz Radomski have been prevented by injuries from joining the team.

Polish national team for the matches against Azerbaijan and Armenia:

Goalkeepers:
Artur Boruc (Celtic Glasgow)
Wojciech Kowalewski (Spartak Moscow)
Łukasz Fabiański (Legia Warszawa)

Defenders:
Michał Żewłakow (Olympiakos Pireus)
Jacek Bąk (Al-Ryyan )
Dariusz Dudka (Wisła Kraków)
Marcin Wasilewski (Anderlecht Brussels )
Grzegorz Bronowicki (Legia Warszawa)
Paweł Golański (Kolporter Korona Kielce)
Jakub Wawrzyniak (Widzew Łódź)
Arkadiusz Głowacki (Wisła Kraków)

Midfielders:
Mariusz Lewandowski (Shakhtar Donetsk)
Euzebiusz Smolarek (Borussia Dortmund)
Jacek Krzynówek (VfL Wolfsburg)
Jakub Błaszczykowski (Wisła Kraków)
Łukasz Garguła (GKS Bełchatów )
Przemysław Kaźmierczak (Boavista FC)
Rafał Murawski (Lech Poznań)
Wojciech Łobodziński (Zagłębie Lubin)
Maciej Iwański (Zagłębie Lubin)

Forwards:
Maciej Żurawski (Celtic Glasgow)
Radosław Matusiak (US Palermo)
Grzegorz Rasiak (Southampton FC)
Marek Saganowski (Southampton FC)
Mariusz Ujek (BOT Bełchatów)

Reserve list:
Tomasz Kuszczak (Manchester United), Marcin Baszczyński (Wisła Kraków), Adam Kokoszka (Wisła Kraków), Ireneusz Jeleń (AJ Auxerre), Robert Kolendowicz (Zagłębie Lubin), Łukasz Piszczek (Zagłębie Lubin), Bartłomiej Grzelak (Legia Warszawa).

The only one surprise is, that Jeleń is only in reserves. Piszczek deserved to be called to normal list of players in my opinion, he scores many goals lately.(Y)

Łukasz Piszczek replaced Matusiak in Polish squad for 2 upcoming matches against Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Even if it was a forced decision, it's absolutely right. Matusiak didn't play much lately and he caught an injury, Piszczek is on fire, especially after won the league with Zagłębie Lubin. He has ended the season with 11 goals scored, that's pretty much for him. (Y)

I agree. Good to see that Beenhakker is spotting those on form players but I'd pick Matusiak over Piszczek if he wasn't injured.
Anyway Anthony, are you watching Puchar Ekstraklasy? They're showing matches on both Polsat Sport and TV4. Very entertaining stuff.. GKS Bełchatów are my favourites to win it though.
Oh and what a goal by Dawid Nowak!

Here is our probable formation for Azerbaijan according to Sport.pl

I still have a feeling, that Iwański should be a starter.

Żurawski is unknown thing not only for me, I don't know what he's doing on the image. I know he's our captain but he didn't play from ages. He has watched games only at tribunes lately and for sure he's out of form.

KURWA MAĆ!!!

Azerbaijan 1 : 3 POLAND

Holy sh*t!!!

What the f*ck was that?! We played totally sh*t in the first half. Błaszczykowski tried a few times to do something but it did not give any result. I don't know why the hell Żurawski is our captain, can someone tell me, please? Fortunately Beenhakker did 2 great changes like bringing Saganowski and Łobodziński on the pitch. They should be starters in upcoming match because they were great.

Rasiak played very solid tonight together with outstanding Krzynówek ( assist and 2 goals). Smolarek (one goal) also did well, I don't want to talk about Boruc though ( everyone who watched match knows why).

I wasn't so stressed in a long time like tonight. This was surely our worst game in a long time but we gained 3 points so now I don't care how we played anymore.

With Armenia we should play without Żurawski and a few other guys. Definitely Saganowski and Łobodziński should be in the first squad, also we need a playmaker like Iwański.

Starting XI
Haha this probably was our worst performance (yes, even worse than our match against Finland at home) but we still managed to get a decent result (H)
Krzynówek is back!

This is my squad on match against Armenia:

Boruc
Wasilewski Bąk Bronowicki Żewłakow
Łobodziński Kaźmierczak Smolarek Krzynówek
Saganowski Rasiak

Beenhakker could take off one of defenders and bring someone to midfield (like he did yesterday) and then Smolarek could play behind Sagan and Rasiak.

What are your types lads?(H)
