yeah, Dani could have been so much more.....I have a feeling Quaresma could be another Dani if he doesn't work on his "I'm already a superstar" attitude..

Yea, but many of Jardel's goals were cheap goals, penalties and headers from inside the 6-yard box. As for Dani, he is now reduced to hosting that Euro 2004 show on RTP1, which has got to be the biggest waste of resources I have ever seen. I mean come on, Fernando Couto flying a helicopter followed by Figo's bit-part in yet another ad?

those could be easy goals, but still they count...u must have to give some cerdit to Jardel, he used to know how to move in the box, to getaway from the markings, etc...but of course he wasn't the most technical player out there.

anyway that guy is dead to football, at this point i think only 3rd division teams would want him

easy goals (if that exists) or not they count and that's give titles. Jardel scored tons of goals and is (was) one of the best header in the world IMO. The Jardel of the 42 goals would be welcome to Benfica for sure but i think he don't exist anymore.

Doesn't matter if the goals seemed 'easy' or not. He scored them, more than anyone on this planet. If they were easy, why haven't other 'more talented' strikers scored as many goals?

Jardel was one of a kind. They seemed easy bcs he had a natural talent, something underneath his skin that even he couldn't be aware of consciously, that instinctively drove him to the places near goal where the ball would end up. That's why he scored so much. It isn't difficult to score them. The real problem is being in the right place at the right time. ;)

Jardel was the best finisher we had in Portugal ever. His positioning and heading were equaled by none. And don't say he was only good in Portugal because he single handedly won an European Supercup for Galatasaray, and those weren't easy goals. The guy was the ultimate goal machine.

But I hated the teams where Jardel played because the whole team would play for him, and with his finishing, he made scoring goals look too easy.

Yup It's Ricardo Carvalho,Paulo Ferreira,Maniche,Deco and maybe Benni McCarthy too, we are cleaning house. :mrpimp: next...(H) LOL

Your so bright, Porto next year will try and fight with themselfs for first, they will make it intresting playing their B squad. Tough they plan to replace Paulo Ferreira with Secretario and give him the captain's arm band.

Did you hear we might sell Ninja also so expect Derlei to be $old next year. They are all rumored to be bought by a big european power house called F.C. Porto ever herd of them. Tough Deco is the only one rumored to be going to another team.

There is also word that Costinha might be sold?

Fabio Rochemback has been handed a massive blow with the news that he will be out of action for six months.
The Barcelona midfielder, who is on a season-long loan at Sporting Lisbon, has undergone surgery on a knee injury and has now been given the news he feared most.

It means the Brazilian could well have played his last game for Sporting as he is set to return to Camp Nou at the end of the season.

Sporting club doctor Gomes Pereira confirmed to the club's official website that Rochemback would be sidelined for 'a period that will not be less than six months'.

The 22-year-old sustained the injury to his right knee in the 2-0 home win against Alverca last month.

Why don't ANY of the English sites know about the contract deal Rochemback has? He has the option to stay for another season.
