Good to see Derlie back.....I think that Jardel and Derlei should be in consideration for the Brazil squad...it is ridiculous to consider that they have been as invisible in the national team as they have....Rivaldo is not too much better than either of them.

Jardel is no longer the player he was a few years ago, he's not even able to find a club to play ATM... :crazyboy: About Derlei i think it will be fair call him to play in the brazilian NT, he's becoming one of the best brazilian strikers so probably he deserves a call. (H)

Mantorras returned today to training, with no limitations. He seems to be in good shape and also scored two nice goals! :)

This is really good news! I hope he is able to return to competition soon at 100% (and that the injury hasn't left permanent damages) proving everyone that doubted him, the great player he is! Maybe he will return in time for the Cup final, that would be great. Mantorras and Derlei back! (H)

Anyway, if it's too risky, then it's better that he doesn't play. The most important thing is that he fully recovers. If this means he will only be able to play next season, so be it.

i think mantorras should start playing in the next season, he's been injured all this time because he was rushed to play last season (was his last game in the 02/03 season? i can't remember...)

I think it's better he play next season. He will make all pre-season and will be fit. His last game i think was against Sporting at Alvalade. 0-2. But i'm not sure.

Yes, that was his last game. So, that means he doesn't play for 1 year and a half already. It's better not to rush things, definitely.

Autocarro do Braga apedrejado deixa Marco e Castanheira feridos

Pouco depois das 23 horas, quando regressava do jogo de Guimarães, o autocarro do Braga foi apedrejado a seguir à portagem de Silvares, na A11, à passagem do primeiro viaduto no sentido Guimarães-Braga. A projecção de pedras, uma delas bem grande (como a foto documenta), provocou a quebra de um dos vidros laterais e ferimentos em dois jogadores: Marco e Castanheira. O guarda-redes, com um traumatismo no ombro direito e cortes no braço esquerdo, foi conduzido ao Hospital de Braga para ser radiografado, conforme adiantou Álvaro Couto, médico do Braga. O médio, com uma ferida na perna direita, foi assistido no local do incidente e estava, naturalmente, chocado com o sucedido. "Nem deu para nos apercebermos. Estourou o vidro e só tivemos tempo de nos encolhermos", explicou. Lamentando um incidente que "poderia ser bem pior", pois podia provocar "o despiste do autocarro ou causar danos maiores", Amaral Correia, relações públicas do Braga, defendeu não haver "nada que justifique este tipo de atitudes". "Descontentes com o resultado estávamos nós. O Guimarães não merece este tipo de adeptos", completou.
