great win for Braga :D

there are going to be second legs right? I'm asking because of last year's group format...
if so, Nacional also has a good chance of going through.

Setubal was pwn3d by Herenveen :nape:

this round is the qualifying for the group stage

Braga got a good result, they have to be smart in Italy.

Nacional will have to play their hearts out! It will be tough! A bit of luck maybe...

Setubal was sh1ty! I listen on the radio, and commentators werent nice at Helio! Too bad teams cant buy their way in, imagine Boavista had an agreement with Setubal and bought their UEFA place? that would be nice, i think this way ever since 2nd class teams get to UEFA trough Cup, remenber Setubal last year? Beira-Mar? Only Leixoes made me proud, they were, as they are now, playn in 2nd league, they defeated a Macedonian team, faced PAOK as equal and were better overall, unlucky they got pushed way!

Boavista could face some teams and offer a hell of a fight! too bad... maybe next year!

we definitely need Boavista to be out there...I'm guessing next season we'll see them kicking some ass in Europe.

That reminds me of one of the funniest PdC quotes ever: 'O Leixões fez mais pontos na Europa do que o Benfica nos últimos 3 anos!' :amika:

Yeah, welcome JMoutinho!

Never quite understood why there are so few sportinguistas around here, statistically we should be, at least, as many as portistas

k Boavista hada a good team back in 2001... we need Sp. Braga and Nacional tearing it up in europe
boavista has a better team than nacional, plus they tend to do good in europe...

the problem is that while our "1st line" teams (porto, benfica, sporting - maybe inclduing boavista and braga), do usually good in europe, our "2nd line" teams (nacional, setubal and so on) are sh*tty when compared with other countries' "2nd line" teams...

true, most of our second tier teams just don't have the mentality and experience to play in Europe. That's why I hate it when a team like Setubal makes it into UEFA through the Portuguese cup, such a waste of a spot...

I think Braga will do well though, assuming they get through. I think they're almost as good as the big three this season, plus it really seems like they finally have a winning mentality which can make the difference.

Amazing piece of ref there. Maradona's hand of god version 2.0. Everyone saw it was hand, except the ref. :nape:

I expect nothing but a demolish on this guys in the 2nd half.

well, to be honest I only saw it in the replay, but you are right that's awful reffing, shame I didn't see you complaining about Nani's foul last week which preceeded his goal, that was awful as well.
