Benfica 0 - 0 Braga HT

We've played the best football I've seen from us this season in this first half.

If only Sokota's finishing wasn't so sh*te

This TVI broadcast is just pants. Almost as bad as the referee himself. Funny how they pinpointed every single bad call by the linesman following Benfica's attack, but when Braga got a bad call (and Tomás scored afterwards) they had doubts...

And this ref is a good example of everything that's wrong with our refereeing: Braga was super hard on the first 25 minutes but only got 2 yellows on the half: one for a common, non-violent or dangerous foul, and the other for João Tomás shooting the rock at goal after the whistle had already been blown...

Punkt: Leiria is a good team, as is Braga - especially at home. You can't compare any of them to this season's Beira-Mar.

Leiria 1-2 Penafiel... Setubal 1-2 Beira Mar...

all away games are tough and Benfica won 2 away games and Porto failed in 2 home games.

damn we played a really crappy 2nd half. But we really blew it in the first with that shocking finishing.

You're a biased freak if you think Beira-Mar is in any form better than Braga. And it doesn't matter that one lost today and the other won.
In my opinion, Benfica was yet to face strong competition this season until today, but our little disagreement here may be the result of different standards: you see, strong competition for me is the type of teams we have to face in the Champions League and final stages of the UEFA Cup - you know, all the sort of things your team only gets to see on tv - and also the top 4 or 5 portuguese clubs.

Fact is, as of now, Braga is tough competition. They created a lot of difficulties for Benfica's offense - who never knew how to handle it - and in the end could have won the match. That's what a tough team is: difficult to score a goal on them but they might score one on you at anytime.

Oh, and Benfica lost points to Porto this week. Remember what I said earlier: we'll catch you in 2 weeks time. ;)

I'm pleased to see Diego played well. He'll deliver for Porto, if not this season, the next. He's overhyped, but he has the potential.

off course Braga is better team than Beira Mar, but Beira Mar isn't easy at Aveiro and isn't so weak like you are telling. IMO all away games in superliga are tough to win.

changing subject this Pinilla is worst than Sokota missing goals.

Where did I say Beira-Mar was weak? Actually, I don't think they are, dude.
I just said they're not tough competition, at least not for Benfica or Porto standards...

Jesus dude, are you doing that on purpose? I said Benfica was yet to face tough opposition, unlike Porto. I didn't say we played tough opposition in every single game out there, but Guimarães, União de Leiria and Braga surely qualify as that. Especially the last of this group - as every Benfica fan will surely agree.

Final result: Rio Ave 0-0 Sporting

Disappointing result for the team in green and white stripes, failing to score a goal and getting another draw. I hope they don't fire Carlos Brito for this.
