And I'm certainly not a hypocrite. I don't like Porto, I don't like Sporting, both are our rivals. But I don't hate them and their supporters, and I certainly wouldn't cheer for any of them against each other. Also, I use my time and energy in supporting my team and not in cheering against others.

The bottom line is that I don't think as football as a war and my mentality is of being pro-Benfica, not anti-others. I think of football in positive terms and not in negative ones. I love football above everything else, the game in itself, so I don't think it should be a mean of hatred and fighting each other.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I don't care if people are anti-Benfica, that's their right, what I don't agree with is some people feel that supporting Porto gives them the right to insult and disrespect anyone who's a Benfica supporter. Using various "mouro" terms, knowing it's an insult. I find it very low-class, to be frank..

What I don't accept and agree is the times when you're not respectful in you actions and what you say sometimes, but that's another subject.

Well, Sporting is 1st. They can draw with us next week and they'll still be 1st. If they win, they are automatically champions. Anyway, if we win, we can still be champions, so everything's open, although Sporting should be considered favourites.

I know Punkt and other Benfiquistas (sorry mates) won't like me saying this, but it is what I think and feel objectively: Sporting will be champions. They are the team that's playing better lately and they are extremely motivated. Even with them without Liedson, I don't think we will manage to beat them at the derby.

But attention, I already said this, but I'll repeat it: as a supporter, as a Benfiquista, I always have faith and I always support the team! Objectively also, the truth is that it certainly isn't impossibel to beat Sporting: 1-0 will suffice for us to have advantage.

But the truth is that dettachedly and rationaly, we aren't playing well, Sporting has a stronger team and is 1st. So, I can't see us winning, from THIS perspective, and I repeat, from this perspective, not as a supporter.

Yes, that sounds right in theory but you know how the derbies work. It´s a special match, a match for the "tripla" and i think that this kind of analysis in a Lisbon derby is always subjective. Usually, the team in worst form, is the team who wins.
About Liedson, after that first yellow card in Guimarães and now this card, i can only get one conclusion. He is completely stupid, no player in his right mind (before a crucial match) would manage to do something like this. Completely unprofessional.
