Talking about refereeing constantly sucks. I hate to read it here, and there's already a place on the net for that: the Record forums.
From now on I'll mod closer all posts related to it. Won't censor or anything like that, but everybody gets one post per week to talk about refereeing and that's it. Anyone failing to comply will be unable to post/view the soccer forum for a week.

Nélson, Sá Pinto e Tonel alvo de processos disciplinares
A Comissão Disciplinar da Liga decidiu, na reunião desta terça-feira, instaurar processo disciplinar ao Sporting e a três dos seus jogadores, Nélson, Sá Pinto e Tonel, na sequência do encontro frente ao Nacional, disputado a 4 de Fevereiro, no Estádio de Alvalade.

Na altura, e sob denúncia do clube insular, a Comissão Disciplinar abriu processo de inquérito para averiguação de factos ocorridos no encontro, marcado, recorde-se, por grande polémica devido a declarações do presidente do Nacional, Rui Alves.

As inquirições estão, agora, concluídas, pelo que os processados serão, agora, ouvidos pela Comissão, que posteriormente decidirá se agirá disciplinarmente sobre os envolvidos.

Portanto, o jogo foi há quase 2 meses, anunciam isto na véspera de um Porto-Sporting, deixem-me adivinhar: o castigo sai daqui a 15 dias?

And the "sumaríssimos" are striking again! The victim now is Maciel for his "challenge" on João Moutinho. Where were they when Petit, Léo, Paulo Machado or Quaresma did need one? It must be from the spring, they're flourishing along with the blossoms and the daisies.

And this is my weekly post about refereeing. Even if it's about those fat bastards "outside referees" sitting in their League offices only watching one game from time to time.

seriously now...i'm not one of those guys that's constantly saying 'la fora é que é, e tal'..but this is really starting to get anoying...they seem like they have no idea what they're doing there...

Here's my recap:

Benfica-Braga:
Braga was very poor this weekend and proved Benfica should finish above of them.

Académica-Porto:
Uncontested win. We created good chances but, again, had a hard time putting them away. Still, when you got 2 guys come off the bench in a time of need, like Almeida and Jorginho did, and solve the issue that is usually a very good sign for the rest of the championship. Great assist and great goal.

Sporting-Penafiel:
Penafiel is so poor they should be prevented from playing any Primeira Liga football for the next decade. Sporting didn't need to do much on this one. Abel's goal was probably goal of the season.

Refereeing:
Another unbelievable mistake this weekend. It's impossible the ref didn't see Petit's foul in the box, so I just assume he think's that's not a foul at all. No ref would hesitate in calling that charge, had it been on the midfield.

It's just poor refereeing after poor refereeing, and this is starting indeed to become a very grave and serious problem. Refs have tremendous pressure over their shoulders and they simple can't cope with it, which leads to more mistakes.
Personally, I hate when Porto gets a wrong call on our favour because:
a) I know we don't need it.
b) Gives room to the legion of blind haters - those who forget how many mistakes were made in their favour, how many penalties his teams missed, etc. - cry how they got their championship robbed.

We could have in the Apito Dourado a window of opportunity to turn these events, but on the one hand we all know how slow our justice is, and on the other hand high profile cases in Portugal always lead to convictions on parole...

If it was that play where Petit jumps with Delibasic. Petit jumps with the guy without using his hands or arms, maybe his intention was not playing the ball but how can you judge it, if we're gonna call this, there would be a penalty in every corner and 20 penalties for each side in the end of the game.

I guess that's the play he's talking about.
I didn't see Petit jumping with Delibasic, he actually threw himself over the guy, hitting him with his back, making a clear foul. He didn't even try to reach the ball.

But hey, that's just me thinking.

Very important win for Porto btw, I think Sporting will fail to win in Guimarães next weekend so we might just get to Alvalade a bit more relaxed

Guimaraes has been so unlucky. tough i don't wanna see them in the segunda. They have quality players. I think they'll play their arse off and they won't lose against Sporting.
