I'm just saying perhaps there should be another striker in there. Unless you'll play Boa Morte and Ronaldo behind the striker.

We can´t play with two strikers, first, because we lack good strikers (it´s always a flaw on our Nt´s) and second because we are used to the 4-5-1 routine sistem. Our only decent striker (with international pedigree) is Pauleta and he is currently experiencing problems with regaining his usual Nt form. Nuno Gomes is an ok striker but he is too inconsistent although he is capable of producing quality performances in the crucial moments ( against England and Turkey in 2000 and against Spain in 2004).
Boa Morte in a striker supporting role? Rubbish. His major asset is his speed and his crossing. That´s why he plays as LW in our NT. I don´t even think he has quality to be called for our NT. Playing in Fulham is one thing but when playing in our Nt where the pressure is immense, he is utter garbage.
It´s all about caractheristics of a Nt. We never had influencial figures in the striker department in our recent past and since our best sector is the midfield it´s only natural that we play with a five men strong and outnumbering midfield sistem.

IMO all the strickers called are pretty bad...Pauleta hasn't scored for our NT for ages; Postiga, well we can see it every week in the league...; and Nuno gomes keeps missing goal chances that even my mother would score

we have Makukula, João Tomás, Moreira... yes they don't have NT experience but give them a chance. they are playing good in their clubs! calling Postiga is unfair. how can a player that is making a horrible season be called to his NT? always the same list of players...

The Postiga call-up can only be explained by a gratitude debt that Scolari still has towards him because he scored against England . That´s the only explanation i can think of.
