They must be tracing it back to Euro, because since Euro the only game for the NT he's had that has been noteworthy was against Sweden.

Damn it! I knew Beto would screw us!!! Meira is much better!! Beto is a limited player, he has no position conscience in miedfield! Meira is more complete and able!


I also think that Postiga in and Boa Morte out is totally unfair! Boa Morte was called to almost every game and he had a great season! Besides he's style is much more needed in the squad! Postiga should be in the U21!


Though how much Rui Costa gave to the NT, how much we respect him, i think it's time to give Deco a chance! You could have the excuse that he was also having a bad (not so good/spectacular IMO) year, but last games r blasting! The kid is rockin!

Mesmo que algumas tenham sido por doença devido ao calor e quedas, isso só vem comprovar a inadequação do Jamor para jogos desta envergadura...
O balanço da Batalha do Jamor dá conta de 23 feridos que tiveram de receber assistência hospitalar, para além de 67 pessoas assistidas no local sem necessidade de serem deslocadas. No total, considerando as adeptas do FC Porto vítimas de pedradas no seu autocarro, são 92 pessoas assistidas e consideradas feridas, o que no mínimo deveria obrigar as autoridades a um rigoroso inquérito sobre todo o sucedido no passado domingo e, sobretudo, em relação aos tais "erros de comando" que levaram a misturas de adeptos para as quais a polícia não estava minimamene preparada. Isto a poucas semanas do arranque do tão propalado Euro'2004...
Pelo menos quatro agentes da PSP foram agredidos nos confrontos registados no complexo do Jamor. Vinte e três adeptos ficaram também feridos (sete em agressões, 10 de doença e seis em quedas) e tiveram de ir ao hospital, contra os tais 67 assistidos sem maior gravidade. Um polícia, do Corpo de Intervenção, ainda permanecia internado após ter sido atingido com uma pedra na cabeça. Uma agente da PSP de Oeiras foi também agredida e vai ficar de baixa.

Can't believe Postiga has got ahead of Boa! Didnt Spurs loan him back out. If so, I havent seen how he's done, but Boa has been electric for Fulham, both out wide and up front. His pace is unbelivable!

yep, Boa Morte out and Postiga in is the only big wrong choice of Scolari IMO... the other wrong choice was Beto... Meira or Litos would sound better, although Meira has more NT experience

Scolari prefered to give up of a winger and call other centre midfielder and three strikers because we have miguel that could play as a defender and winger. but i don't agree with his option. Boa Morte deserved the call.

i don't think that meira has more NT experience than Beto. actually i think the opposite. But I prefered Meira or Ricardo Rocha for Beto's spot. For experience we have Couto.

Portugal was defeated today 2-1 against Slovakia, for the qualifying poule of the U19 Euro Cup that is being played in Slovakia. In the other game Germany trashed Armenia 5-0. Only the first of the group will qualify.

Next opponent will be the germans.

The NT are already concentrated in Lisbon, except for Porto players, Ronaldo and Pauleta.
