nothing is wrong with him. The Spanish league has so much play-acting its unbelievable. Couple that with the crappiest referees on the planet and you have what is essentially a dive-fest of olympic proportions.

Now I know that you guys will come back at me in the weakest way possible... by pointing out that the Serie A has simulators also. While that might be true, its far less than La Liga and anyone who has watched both leagues on a regular basis will testify to that. Besides, the referees in Italy are superior and have comee down pretty strongly on diving. So much so that some legit penalty claims are waved off.

I agree 100%, there is quite a good number of Serie A matches that i have seen and it is nowhere near as bad as ours.... and the refs are terrible aswell, i heard that Barca penalty was BS and as Sevillista said the Villarreal match was so BS. I have said it before and i will say it again Gravesen speaks nothing but the truth. The refs are just horrible, so many dives are turned into penalties and some that are legit pens are not called, the refs are so quick to give red cards as well. Good for Gravesen (Y)

Gravesen is right, but somehow he deserved some red cards this season, and referees were nice with Gravesen.
Really? I can remember some cards that he got ( mostly yellow ) that wouldnt even be considered a foul in any other league, its a shame really. Every match is a foul fest because of the players and refs. It cant be a smooth game, someone always goes down.

1/2 final round Copa del Rey pairings:

Espanyol vs Valencia/Depor
Barça/Zaragoza vs Real Madrid

YAAAYYY!! If we get Barça, it would be a hell of an eliminatory. If we get Zaragoza, we could take 2 revenges: first of all Zaragoza, who defeated us in the 2004 final. And secondly, Depor, cause the final is in their stadium, the year of his centenary... Remember the 'Centenariazo' (2002)?? :rockman:

BTW all our injuried players are fully recovered, with the exceptions of Raul, Diego Lopez and Miñambres :)

I wonder is Ronaldo will start this weekend or if he will come in off the bench. Also I hope Cicinho keeps his spot, cause he's alot better than Salgado IMO.

look at this bench in case this is the startin 11..

I think its going to be Cicinho playing the home games and Salgado the away games.
That would be a shame!! Cicinho is really class!!! He s the best RB there is IMO!! He needs to play everygame!!! Salgado is just not good enough now!! He s slow, cant attack and his defencing isnt very good either!

Defending has been bad?? what games have you been watching. I dont see how its shameful, at home Cicinho should play because we can attack a lot and away games Saglado to start to help the defence.

Cicinho can get back quicker than Salgado. Plus his attacks are way more effective and creative. Salgado is just a role player compared to Cicinho.

Yes Cicinho is better at attacking and faster but in away games especially CL games like against Arsenal i would rather see Salgado go out and play because he is physically stronger than Cicinho and that game will be very much like the English style of play. That is why i think Salgado would be better and his experience is also a good benefit.

Like this at home we attack a lot Cicinho starts
Away we attack but not as much attacking where Salgado would start and also we play a physical game away from home. I think this could work out very nicely.

no way salgado should ever start over Cicinho....
at this rate cicinho should be a no brainer.

Right now- the spots that cant be messed with are:

-I call them the untouchables for right now-
Casillas at GK
Cicinho at RB
Ramos at CB
and
Robinho at LAM

Besides that we know:
ZZ should play in the Middle
Becks should be somewhere on the right
Baptista can sit on the bench and everything will still be ok.

Thats 6 positions guaranteed.

I would fill out the rest with my own opinions but the 6 can't be removed.
I think Ronaldo should come in the 2nd half since he's fit and all. Cassano can start and play the 1st half, and Ronaldo the 2nd. The 2 of them together make one fit player!! (just kidding of course)

Who says Cicinho couldn't cope with the more physical way ? - we have no proof he can't handle it.

Cicinho over Salgado anytime ATM, and here is why

better going forward
better defending
quicker
better link up with Becks & Co

Playing against a "physical" english team shouldn't be a problem, Cicinho looked fine against Liverpool in the WCC. Arsenal have not been at their best lately anyways (but he will have to be careful with Cole, auditioning for his new job??? and Pires who is still a very clever player). But Salgao is too old to accept being benched, especially in a world cup year, transfer window is closing, but he probably won't like sitting, so they will have to find him games.

You've got one of you best price/skill buys in Cicinho and definetly one of your best buys lately. I mean €4mil for a pretty young player that has the potential, as someone said, of becoming the best RB in the world is a pretty nice deal. There aren't any many good, young right-backs left at the moment.

I said that about him being the best RB one day. It's like having Roberto Carlos as a RB.

He can defend.
He can attack.
He can shoot with decent power.
He can cross the ball.
He's creative.

You would think I was describing RC, but that's how good Cicinho has been so far. Definately a great buy.

I don't agree Salgado is worse than Cicinho when defending. Ok, he's probably slower, but has loads of experience and knows the rest of the defense very well. And it would be a shame if he miss his probable last WC with Spain...

I respect Salgado's defensive ability, but Cicinho is amazing going forward. He's a RB that's a goal scoring threat. The right side of our attack is completely different with Cicinho. With Salgado it's mediocre.

yea....Id have to say- even if you compare individually with experience and all that...
you can tell-
Cicinho in the lineup does a lot more than Salgado in the line up. Salgado is great, but Cicinho in Madrid is doing wonders!!!
